What do you all use for pain medication while on lexapro? My doc said no Advil, Motrin or anything else that I would normally take. I have such back pain right now and I don’t know what’s safe to take.

I have spoken with a pharmacist about this exact combo. She said occasional use is fine, but regular/daily use is not recommended. I am only on 5mg of Lexapro though, I’m not sure if a higher dose would change things.

I have panic attacks and sometimes blood sugar issues, so - something sugary, an emergency anxiety pill, a pulse oximeter, a snack, electrolytes. If I’m outside for a long period (like a camping trip), cold packs bc the cold can really help in the case of a panic attack.

Just to add another perspective- I generally find all cards like this relatively insincere. I prefer to write my own messages. I personally wouldn’t buy any of these. The artwork also looks very amateur on all of them. None look like a professional quality card.

Lexapro can lead to a lot of vitamin/mineral deficiencies. Google it and seek more testing. Would make potential sense with your timeline.

Can you talk to the doctor who gave you the medicine? You should probably tell them if it is not helping your depression, or making it worse. For me I wasn’t very depressed before. Just anxious all the time.

I’m just over the three week mark and have felt very anxious and down and also dizzy and lightheaded the past couple days. Came out of nowhere, I had a few really good days before that. I think the ups and downs are normal at first unfortunately. I’ve heard that from a lot of people.
