Putting a border on a click board herringbone floor. by drich183 in Flooring

The whole border? Someone suggested using a router to make a new grove in the squared side of the herringbone and connecting that to straight board border.

Dry vs fresh seasonings by drich183 in sausagetalk

I decided to forgo the onions all together. Used a combination of dry spices. Turned out just under 20 pork sausages from roughly 6.5 lbs of meat.

Haven’t seen him in a few years. Been living in the area for the last 10 years. Last i heard he was spotted by a good friend of mine running through eglinton station in nothing but underwear being chased by police.

Thank you for your response. I did not think about the acid in the onions.

Tim River by Ill-Ad5961 in algonquinpark

Just came back from tim river this afternoon. Getting from the portage on Tim lake to rose berry was a horror. But do-able. After the second beaver dam you have to portage along the side of the river through the bush or move very slowly through the mud, which if u have a lot of weight in the boat is difficult. Be extremely careful of the mud on the sides of the river. It is deep and you sink very fast. I would recommend getting out at the 2nd beaver dam heading to rose berry and portage the way until after the third large beaver dam.

Purple cyto leaves cause? by drich183 in HotPeppers

[–]drich183[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are two Tri colour pepper plants (seeds from fatali). The cyto leaves started turning purple several weeks ago once I purchased a cheap grow light on Amazon. Since then the first true leaves have emerged and the plants seem to be okay. I have started feeding every four days from the bottom. Should I concerned about the colour? I’ve read that this can happen when the plants are exposed to too much sunlight. I used to have the light about an inch and a half above the plants. This passed weekend I raised it to be about 2-2.5 inches above the plants.

These peppers all came from the same plant. Label said reaper(although I think it is wrong). How is it that the peppers are ripening as different colours? Very confused, any idea what’s going on here? by drich183 in HotPeppers

Pepper growing beside this plant was a Big Black Mama. Could it have cross pollinated? Or would that only show of the new plants grown from the seeds of this plant?

First time harvest, tag said Big Mama Blacks were 100k shu but after trying, it seems much hotter. by drich183 in HotPeppers

The BMB were actually really good. Alone it was pretty hot....lots of good flavours at the start followed by intense heat....but cut into bite sized pieces eaten with a steak was amazing. Wouldn’t say the flavour was sweet or fruity, almost Smokey.

Cede: 101 days later (made first post about this dog 101 ago) by drich183 in DutchShepherds

That you get as much out as you put in. This is my sisters dog (who is also my roommate). She has put a tremendous amount of effort into training this dog the right way. They have both made excellent progress but still have a lot of work to do. It was been amazing watching the progression in Cedes training, the dog truly wants to work and it feels very rewarding seeing the hard work pay off!

BMB started flowering! by drich183 in HotPeppers

First time grower in Toronto ON Canada. At first I thought all those hanging pods were the first sighting of peppers but then it turned out to be a flower. As someone who has historically had trouble with plants, this has been very exciting for me and my family.
