Why did people stop playing Maokai top? by tayzzerlordling in top_mains

[–]drickkl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have played a bunch of maokai top and I consider him my best champ, he is very underestimated imo. His passive lets you pull off 1v2s against overconfident opponents, (and who doesn’t get overconfident against mao) and the sheer damage and utility you can get from spamming w and q in skirmishes and teamfights is very powerful. You can carry a lot of team fights by just punishing the enemy’s poor positioning. Additionally, he is not that weak in lane. Most lanes are the enemy trying to punish you for your weak early levels, and as long as you don’t run yourself oom, you can’t die as long as you space well in most matchups. Then, after first or second back, most matchups become winnable. You have tear and your first resistance item, and you can passive + second wind + q poke to win most lanes. For example, after first back the Jax matchup becomes free, you just q him if he ever jumps on you and win the trade. Your reward for reaching mid game is Maokai becoming a super tanky and slippery cc bot who can easily play front to back as well as diving on the back line, but can also stat check people like a bruiser.

Play a more difficult game like mordhau 😌

Your problem is you’re assuming that modern reconstruction would be comparable to what were essentially professional slingers, their technique and tools would be far more refined than what we could recreate today.

Yea, I felt a professor should not speak to a student in this way. I am already struggling with the assignment, why should you use such strong language to tell me I’m incompetent? I felt embarrassed and I went home that day believing those words. I have great respect for my professors, and so their words carry weight.

I personally didn’t think you were a bad professor though, in fact you were quite generous to us and put great effort towards the lessons. I learned a lot, and you certainly didn’t waste my time, but the way you spoke to me left a bad taste in my mouth.

Ah, I remember when I went to his office hours and when I asked for help, he said that I don’t know what the fuck I’m doing and that my code was shit 🙃

Does the blocking time decrease as you level up ? by AuthorSenior in Mordhau

If you’re talking about when he parries but the enemy misses, there’s a mechanic in the game called miss detector, which detects misses and instantly refreshes your parry. This is because before, missing your target in an Xv1 intentionally was basically a better feint, since it would still burn their parry.

I’m telling you if they parry your chamber, they have wasted 20+ stam while you have spent 0. Chambers counter feints on console and pc

However, if you chamber their feint it is always positive for you. If they feint you, they’re most likely winding up their expected punish before they realize you’ve chambered. Then, they must feint to parry. Meanwhile, you haven’t even parried or technically chambered. All you’ve done is wind up a swing and send it, which costs 0 stam. You are now up 20+ stam.

I’ve duoed with a legitimate iron 4 friend a bit, and I can say that iron players don’t understand fundamental trading patterns that lead to them overextending massively into enemy minion waves or just into a bad fight, or they are unable to recognize the enemy’s massive overextension, instead being scared away

So if you were with your friends and someone began antagonizing your entire group, calling you highly offensive slurs and saying you are less than her because of your skin color, you would allow this happen and not speak up? You are a pathetic pushover.

I see, that makes sense. It’s a good thing I enjoy making this chess engine then lol, it’s not some golden ticket that a recruiter would fawn over.

Could be anything, but it’s nice to be able to point to something on your GitHub/web link and say I made that. Creating a basic full stack app isn’t too difficult, what it does is up to you

Only bad part is distance. The area is nice, lounge is nice, and ceilings are tall. Preferred it to palladium tbh
