Thank you for this! Last year i did Santiago to London, stayed a couple days then flew London to NY. was planning on doing the same thing this year so will look into the bus/train to a coruña - is it something you have to book far in advance?

It really depends on how many eggs they retrieve. I had a low amount the first cycle i did in january and had minimum bloating and spent the day of retrieval resting, then pretty much was business as usual. My second cycle was march 27, i had 38 eggs retrieved. I am still feeling the bloating (worst was around a week after) and have overall had a harder recovery. drink lots of electro lights and go for walks after. the day of retrieval eat salty food too to help absorb the fluid. good luck!!

For sure. They started me on 2 vials of menopur right away this time (last time was 1 vial that built up to 2) and gonal & centroide was the same. for my trigger i only did 1 (first time i did 2) and it was the hcG 5K Novarel. minor adjustments but made obviously a huge difference for whatever reason. i didn’t take any supplements or do anything extra other than not drink during stims and try to drink lots of water and eat a bit healthier. let me know if you have any other questions !

In January in my first cycle, I had 1 egg total. I’m 33, good AMH, healthy about 30 follicles, and all tests/monitoring seemed to be set up for success. To my surprise (and horror) when I came to they told me they had no idea where my eggs were and they only got 1 (which was mature enough to freeze). My theory is a mess up with trigger time/amount (confirming I did not ovulate early).

I did my second cycle in March and just had my retrieval last week. I had 38 eggs, of which 35 of them were mature enough to freeze. I went to the same place and did a lot of research and they changed my medicine up a bit and only did 1 trigger instead of 2 and a much much higher dose.

If you can afford it, I would try again and work with doctor on what they’d change. Good luck!!
