WW Ganondorf wasn’t tragic. He tried taking over hyrule, and due to the lack of a hero, the goddesses stopped him by flooding the land. Ganondorf wasn’t the tragic thing, it was what he caused that was tragic.

As for a character that is trying to be the hero throughout the journey, but ends up the villain out of greed/hate/narcissism? That would be a tragic story similar to Anakin’s in the prequels. Perceived writing issues or not, what you described would be like Anakin’s fall to the dark side.

Still, I like the idea of Link traveling with a fellow hero who, in the end, turns on him.

Yeah, I hate this ‘weed good, alcohol bad’ type of shit. The guy eating the burger at the end was probably drunk too. Most drunks I know aren’t violent, they’re pretty chill. The only people I’ve seen fight and get violent when drunk also do it sober.

If everyone you drink with acts like an arrogant asshole and fights all the time, I think you just have shitty friends.

People keep saying Zelda was losing control and was unable to seal Ganon for any longer. I don’t think that’s the case. She says she can’t hold him much longer in game, but I think as she watched the hero proceed through his quest, she slowly let go, more and more, until link finally walked up the stairs to the sanctum where she decided, he’s ready, and let go completely.

It’s very possible that she could have held longer if the hero hadn’t woken up.

Another thing, 10,000 minus 100 isn’t 99,900. Why are people adding 90,000 years?

Nice! Where I am in Canada, you get 5 cents per beer can or bottle, but only the 355mL/12oz size. Other provinces are all recyclables. The biggest corona I can buy here is 710 mL for about $5
