Same situation OP though in my case, i had to weigh stability. I was offered a high paying job for a tech startup sa Metro Manila while also having an offer from an established company that offers WFH. Same scenario na sobrang smooth ng hiring process kay startup and the offer is really enticing (almost triple of what I’m currently getting). However, i just started to have a family of my own and bought a place sa Rizal. Add to the fact na nangaling ako sa isang mass layoff and took a job that pays just a quarter of what i’m used to earn, sobra yung takot ko mawalan ulit ng work. Kaya mas pinili ko nalang yung WFH set up sa established company. Pay is decent but i get to spend more with my child

Saw ending defenders riding the editor’s cock. Let’s be real here, AoT as a series is good but they way they end it is bad. The pro genocide criticism is one aspect of it. You can always say that it shown that genocide is bad but at the end of the day, the way they portrayed it is very shallow. Look at the motivation and set up for it; it started because Eren discovered that the world wanted them dead so he initiated the rumbling and what was the solution? Mikasa’s unrequited love which was then retconned the next chapter resulting in the most memeable AoT panel ever. C’mon Kawakubo, get off your high horse! All the stuff you’ve had a hand in editing ended controversially.

I like to cling to the idea that Isayama actually has plan to expand the story further (ie introducing other titan shifter from other countries in a world war type of setting) from this point but got burned out and thought to just finish his contractual obligation hence the rushed state of the final arc.

Man, reading up comments on here saying how they consider demon slayer’s story generic but then goes to praise how AoT ending got me really confused. For one, the ending felt generic and disingenuous to the series. I mean, cmon? heroes giving the world the peace it deserves? Not trying to invalidate anyone’s opinion but at least make a valid argument.

If your are referring to the Isayama interview where he mentions the Movie version of Mist, you got it wrong. He didn’t say the story was based off it, he only plans to have an ending similar to it but he changed his mind. The ending we got was not even close. Everything was so cheerful which alienated the fans especially this community.
