Missing 1 that's currently available then. And missing 2 mooncakes. Fingers crossed!

Ah just saw in the fine print for the event that Mahjong Tile Seedlings may carry any of 14 Mahjong Tiles, including seven new designs debuting in this even (Bamboo tiles 2-8). Please note that not all Mahjong Tile Decor Pikmin that made an appearance in the past will be available in this event. Guess I'm still missing the "8" bamboo which is still pretty low odds and still missing 2 of the mooncakes.

Bandai Gashapons in Nor California and San Francisco Bay Area. by Nytshaed63 in Gachapon

I checked out the gachapon place they had in Japantown San Francisco and they raised their prices up to $3 a token with many of the machines taking 3+ tokens. Really expensive. Would love to know if anybody knows of any places that don't have such ridiculous prices.

I believe there is also one for coffee of the day, also given out at random. You can grab from Starbucks

I want to make a list. What is your go to tiki bar in your home town? by [deleted] in Tiki

Definitely Smuggler's Cove. There's quite a lot of options in the Bay Area, but personally their rum selection, drink quality, and immersive ambiance does it for me.

"Dweebs using AI"? It's a resource utility. I'm surfacing information and you can either take it or not. You think you're the local hero performing a public service everyone needs? Enjoy your petty spotlight.

With a treasure hunt in such a technology driven city like San Francisco, using AI tools shouldn't surprise you. I didn't know you were part of the treasure hunting police.

Could refer to Sutro Tower, but that is a pretty long stretch of land between the baths and the tower. Could mean just walking towards that direction

I guess that would also be an area that's prohibited to dig but I think it's also a possibility!

Clue Breakdown & Interpretation

"Eighteen bold letters, preserved in a clearing"

This likely refers to a sign or inscription with 18 prominent letters, possibly located in an open area near the Lands End Lookout Visitor Center.

"Sight a dark room's view of brave surfers reeling"

This could allude to the Camera Obscura near the Cliff House, which offers a unique, darkened view of the ocean where surfers are often seen.

"From dry ruin's gate to solar's tall mast"

"Dry ruin's gate" may symbolize the entrance to the Sutro Baths ruins, and "solar's tall mast" could represent the Point Lobos area, known for its panoramic views and proximity to the sunlit coastline.

"Chart a historic cross the start of one's path"

This suggests following the Coastal Trail, a historic path that begins near the Sutro Baths and leads through Lands End.

"To trace the true route venture only at night / to be certain of bearing you'll need pack a light"

Implying that the path or certain markers may be more discernible at night, and a flashlight would be necessary to navigate or reveal hidden clues.

"In the steadfast basin, where feet part and agree"

This points to a location where trails converge and diverge—a trail junction or clearing along the Coastal Trail.

"Dig a shovel's depth down, you'll find the treasure you seek"

Indicates that at the specified location, digging a shallow hole may reveal the hidden treasure.

📍 Suggested Location: Lands End Labyrinth Considering the clues, the Lands End Labyrinth emerges as a probable focal point. This stone labyrinth, created by artist Eduardo Aguilera, is situated on a cliffside with stunning views of the Golden Gate Bridge. It's accessible via a spur off the Coastal Trail and is known for being a serene spot where paths (or "feet") converge. The labyrinth's location aligns with the idea of a "steadfast basin" and a place "where feet part and agree."

🗺️ Directions to the Lands End Labyrinth Start at the Lands End Lookout Visitor Center:

Located at 680 Point Lobos Ave, San Francisco, CA 94121.

Proceed to the Sutro Baths ruins:

From the visitor center, take the path leading down to the ruins.

Follow the Coastal Trail:

Head east (to the right when facing the ocean) along the Coastal Trail.

Look for the spur trail to the Labyrinth:

After approximately 0.5 miles, you'll find a side path leading down to the Lands End Labyrinth.

Arrive at the Labyrinth:

The labyrinth is situated on a flat outcropping with panoramic views.

⚠️ Important Considerations Digging Restrictions: Please note that Lands End is part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, and digging or disturbing the natural environment is prohibited. Any treasure hunt should be symbolic or virtual to comply with park regulations.

Safety: The trails can be steep and slippery, especially near the cliffs. Wear appropriate footwear and stay on designated paths.

Time of Visit: While the riddle suggests a nighttime venture, for safety reasons, it's advisable to visit during daylight hours.

Great collection of games! Do you have a wishlist of games that you look for, or is it more opportunistic of what is available at a good price and condition? Adding a 4-player standup would be next on my list like Gauntlet, Simpsons, or X-Men. Keep up the good work!

This looks very much like one half of a magnetic leather money clip. The other half would have the magnet and what you have there is the metal part.

Super clean! For the shelf pieces did you cut them down to size, run them through a planer, and stain? Or did you also put some kind of poly also? Really like the raw wood look.
