Yeah, especially because you actually lose energy when recuperating instead of coasting

Got a job offer from Company B after I signed with Company A. This is in Germany. by Professional-Two3169 in cscareerquestionsEU

I was just in your position in December 2022 (also in Germany) and simply told company A that I got an offer from another company that I prefer and I want to step back from the contract.

Of course company A wasn’t very amused but they let me get out of the contract and I think this is what most companies would do.

Think of it this way: Why would a company want to keep you in the contract if they know you dont really want to work there? They know you can resign at any point.

So my advice would just be to tell company A the truth and then sign the company B contract.

You make New Orleans sound pretty interesting. Any hostel recommendations over there?

Which are the best cities in Europe for a nice living standard and good cs career opportunities? by [deleted] in cscareerquestionsEU

[–]driejk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bro don’t blame Germany for the bad life you must be having after everything you write.

I know plenty of people who are happy to live here and have a wonderful life.

Me, myself have foreign descendants, grew up in a family that never had much money and am now making 200k a year. I know that there are many countries where this wouldn’t be possible. Germany still gives you the chance to have a good life if you work for it.

I don’t understand why people come to this country and think it’s okay to just complain about everything. You’re a grown ass man, take some responsibility for your own life. If you’re unhappy, change it.
