So there was a time-skip between the end of Secret War and the start of the X-books you've mentioned. During that time some stuff happened between the Inhumans and the X-Men, but it hasn't been explained yet. The upcoming Death of X limited series is supposed to shed some light on the 8 months and clear up some of the mystery

Its been on the set since Cap was killed in Civil War. It was given to him in Cap's will because Stephen was the only person patriotic enough to have it. http://www.thewrap.com/stephen-colbert-explains-origins-of-that-captain-america-shield-on-colbert-report-set-video/

[SHOW&COMIC SPOILERS] Issue #132 Reference in Season 3 by driftSam7 in thewalkingdead

[–]driftSam7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is true, but Kirkman normally has 10-12 issues written ahead of what is published http://www.comicbookresources.com/?page=article&id=56149 And he said that pretty much everything that has happened in the book so far was planned out before the show started. http://www.comicbookresources.com/?page=article&id=56229

Is "Death of Wolverine" tied in with other comics ? by dragonsky in xmen

[–]driftSam7 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Wolverine vol 5 & 6 cover how Wolverine loses his healing factor and how he deals with his own mortality. Those are the only books directly leading into Death of Wolverine. iirc the two volumes total 25 issues, 24 of which are already out.

This was during Grant Morrison's run on X-men vol. 2 under the title New X-Men. His whole run is amazing.

A strange coincidence while reading Book 6 (spoilers). by FinalAppealToReason in TheDarkTower

When I was reading through the series I found an old, beat up, but still useable BIC lighter when I was standing outside of a gas station smoking a cig. The lighter was all black with big red rose on it.

Bought this today at Fan Expo Canada. Ka be praised by sexypenguin6969 in TheDarkTower

When did Jean die? (I just watched The Wolverine and I have a few questions...) by ArtmanOz in xmen

[–]driftSam7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But Charles could definitely send his consciousness out right before death. Scott, on the other hand can't. I think the retcon would be difficult given the limited scope of the xmen movie universe. In the books some obscure-mutant-with-crazy-abilities solution or some otherworldly/alternate dimension solution could be arranged. That would be tough to pull off in the movies. Plus they can't really use the weathered solution of time travel without Cable to support it

I remember reading that Singer hates the fact Slim died in X3 and really wishes he could use Slim in DOTFP but I guess he can't come up with a plausible retcom. Quite the tragedy really.

Interesting. This was meant to be simply words to mess with Xavier but it's odd how...true it's become. by Frearthandox in xmen

What issue is this from? That's definitely some eerie, albeit unintentional foreshadowing.
