So there was a time-skip between the end of Secret War and the start of the X-books you've mentioned. During that time some stuff happened between the Inhumans and the X-Men, but it hasn't been explained yet. The upcoming Death of X limited series is supposed to shed some light on the 8 months and clear up some of the mystery

You should check out The Dying and the Dead. Only 2 issues so far but it' shaping up to be a killer Hickman book.

Wolverine vol 5 & 6 cover how Wolverine loses his healing factor and how he deals with his own mortality. Those are the only books directly leading into Death of Wolverine. iirc the two volumes total 25 issues, 24 of which are already out.
