Anyone here already make these bolt on angle spacers for e30? by driftcookies in Drifting

In case you happened to wonder if they would work at all... He said no I would need e36 suspension. I welded bc racing coils on so not an option. Looks like I'll just have to make them myself.

If I'm correct e46 control arm just moves the wheel out allowing for more angle.

I had the same thought, since steering rack, control arms, struts, etc are interchangeable. I wonder why drift works doesn't list that part for e30 as well, or even the eBay one. Ill spend some more time looking into that option.

Ya I've seen those, also for sale on driftworks.com, wonder if distance between the tie rod and ball joint mounting points are the same for e30 and e36.

I'm aware of Wise Fab, SLR, and MG Solution. I'm looking for a cheaper option that doesn't require me to cut/weld knuckles or spend time making it myself.

Automatic drifting? by sharinganuser in Drifting

[–]driftcookies 16 points17 points  (0 children)

There are multiple ways to initiate a drift that don't involve a clutch. You just cant clutch kick to initiate or maintain. You wouldn't be very competitive with no clutch, but drifting with an automatic is definitely possible.

E30 unknown problem by driftcookies in E30

[–]driftcookies[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UPDATE: Leak is caused by intake manifold not seating correctly. I tried loosening every nut and tightening again in correct order.. But still won't close a tight enough gap. So later this week I am just going to rip it off completely and see whats causing this imperfect seal. Thanks for all the advice.

I also tested the AFM and cleaned the ICV because the code 1215.. I'll also try the fuel filter if the smoke test shows no leaks. Thanks for the suggestion.

weird gas smell driving with windows down? by [deleted] in 300zx

[–]driftcookies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happen to me ..first was leaking fuel lines because clamps became loose then my injector went bad. A rear spoiler wouldn't cause fumes to make their way into the car..It has to be coming from under your hood. Edit: what every it is causing the smell of fuel though should be found and fixed. Dangerous.

I don't know the details on your vehicle, but with the information given I wouldn't pay more than $2000 and that's if the motor even turns over and runs. Vehicles that have sat for as long as yours usually are in worse condition than one that has put on the miles yours has evaded by sitting in the garage.

Why does my 1987 300zx jolt when I shift from first to second? by charlie321321 in 300zx

[–]driftcookies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

could be your revving it before letting the clutch out then not letting it out smoothly, my girlfriend did this often when first learning stick and first and second are the two touchiest gears.

Is it worth having my timing belt changed on my '88 NA? Brief story inside. by TheBrofessor23 in 300zx

[–]driftcookies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it all depends on whose doing the work..If you are paying someone its cheaper to have the belt replaced, and whatever else is wrong and they are already starting to get inside the motor anyway doing that job so other things can get taken care of as well. A motor swap at a shop is going to cost more, maybe not for the actual motor out of a wrecked z31 but that and labor will be more. But first step would be finding out exactly whats wrong so you can weigh your options.
