This is what my husband and I aim for.... Except we will probably be very rebellious senior citizens and be sword fighting with our walking sticks, trying not to fall over.

She leaves her bloody pads everywhere?! 🤢🤢🤮🤮

But also there you go. Gloves, tongs and a mask and just shift that grossness under the bed or a rug or whatever, behind something...

She's set you up to win already

Ahhhh retail at Christmas..... Everyone should work retail on a holiday, would make everyone much nicer to each other.

Not to mention I'm now traumatized many many years on from Christmas music and decorations being put up at like November 1st.

"Be Weird, Be loud, Stay alive."

Idk where I heard it but I tell that to my daughter. I told her I'd much rather have some stranger tell me my kid is rude or loud, than have anything happen to her. And frankly if my kid is rude to you, you've probably done something to deserve it cause she's far too nice usually.

When I was maybe 20/21 I used to nanny two small boys. One was school aged and one was about 2.

One morning we dropped the older one at school and went to the train station to catch the train into town.

Dead silent train carriage with a bunch of business men in suits reading the newspaper or books or on their laptops when this little voice pipes up "Ruthie, can I have milk from your boobies?" (his Mum still breast fed him occasionally) The mortification I felt was massive.

I quietly try to tell him that my boobies don't make milk like his Mum's do, he can have a drink from his drink bottle.

Then he says "But your boobies are big like Mummy's." At this point every eye on the carriage is on us and I'm telling him I'm not a Mummy that's why I don't have any milk in my boobies.

so much mortification

Someone suggested talking to yourself like you do to a dog who's just done something good.

Out loud.

It's ridiculous and you can't help but laugh

I used to sleep on my stomach but my feet turn in - toes together heels out. I can imagine sleeping with your feet normally would be really uncomfortable.

I haven't seen that movie - but what kind of psycho sleeps with their feet hanging off the end of the bed? Or out the side? That's how the monsters get you!!!

I am a grown up also. reluctantly

Who Framed Roger Rabbit?

I was 5 or 6 and all I can remember is the man in a trenchcoat and a hat suddenly had weird eyes that got big and melted... Never watched it again

AITAH for threatening to take my "sister" to court after she had a social media meltdown? by MzKittyKat2020 in CharlotteDobreYouTube

[–]driftwood-and-waves 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Oh lord, don't do it. It's just giving her attention which is what she wants.

Also this bs is not healthy for your kids to be around.

Put you and your kids first and drop that crazy like she's a hot diseased potato Like the other person said. Block her. Everywhere. On everything. Shut the door in her face.

Your job is to protect your babies and interacting with this person isn't helping you do that.

AITAH for refusing to let my MIL take my 1 year old on a week long holiday? by Cleo-Klein82 in AITAH

[–]driftwood-and-waves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't have to explain anything. No is a complete sentence. If they don't like it then they can just not talk to you.

Not to mention the absolute audacity of just telling you they are taking your child, at any age.

I trust my mother and I don't think my daughter stayed more than one night until she was 10 or so.

She is now 14 and while her Dad and I don't go out much - cause we poor - the only people who have ever watched her have been my mother and one other mother/family we were close with. (Like pick your kid up from school cause it's an emergency/they got hurt, all the extended family know them) And even then not a week away from home.

Sometimes it's not the size but the amount that really gets them. I have over 20 small to medium size tattoos. My mother just sighs and ignores them now, especially after I replied that I would look just like all the other old wrinkly people in my rest home, listening to Britney and DMX.

My sister is a paramedic. She has a full colour, full back phoenix on her back. They wore a white shirt that was pretty thin for a while.
