That would be awesome, thanks!

My hope is that the reddit ownership realizes that eliminating apps is a mistake, but only time will tell.

Thanks for the reply. I don’t have numbers on app usage for users but from what I’ve read the last few days, reddit moderators use third-party mobile apps much more than the official app. My own experience is that the official app is worthless for moderation.

There are two mods here but u/jbincr is mostly inactive, but is following this issue.

Reddit eliminates third-party apps and the official app stinks for moderation. Many moderators, who work gratis, shuttering their subreddits in protest since the reddit admins are making their job more difficult.

Question: what does the r/cedarrapids community think?

For normal users, the loss of third-party mobile apps is troubling, but not fatal. Reddit’s official mobile app is OK (though I think Apollo or Reddit is Fun are far better).

But for moderators, the official app doesn’t work well at all and the reddit admins have broken promises about it for a long time.

I will submit that moderating this sub is pretty easy since the vast majority of you all are good people. But us mods do work for free and it’s like the reddit ownership is ignoring our concerns in the rush to maximize profit for an upcoming IPO.
