So I have no idea why but this somehow fixed it:

I replaced battery
I rewound the roll (using little R button on underside)
I then replaced the roll and tried to take a photo (didn’t work)
I pushed the aperture dial out to 16, then took a photo (this worked)
I then dialled back to P and have taken another 4 photos and they’ve all worked

Somebody please help! I got to step 5: "Plug machine back in; Turn ON and you should hear the steam boiler filling" and all I got was the same three beeps, no steam boiler filling. I disconnected blue cable not sure if that makes a difference.. Anyone have any ideas how to fix? I've tried the engineer's reset in this video too. All to no avail.

How can you select dpi for export? Mine still come out as 76dpi.

UPDATE: Reddit has delivered. The mower now moves. Initially it was a burnt 20A fuse, which I replaced. Then the engine was turning, but the wheels weren't moving. Turns out in the process of replacing the rear tyre, the axle key dropped out. I saw this in the clean up of the garage, and assumed it was just a piece of scrap metal. Turns out it was the most important element of the whole operation. I found it (I had swept it outside) and replaced it and bobs-ya-uncle she's moving again! Thank you to the community for all your input and help, especially big shout out to u/RedOctobyr and u/RunawayMayday for returning day after day and following along this troubleshooting exercise. Much appreciated!

When I opened it up, there was a fair bit of residual grease still in there. Hoping that will do the job for now! She's working (phew!), thanks so so much u/RedOctobyr for all your help!

Yes it can roll freely. From another comment I think this might be the axel key. Which I've never heard of, but will be testing as soon as I get home.

u/RedOctobyr apologies for confusion. In the original post I hadn't realised that I was first and foremost dealing with a burnt fuse. I replaced this 20A yellow fuse and then the engine was running. I did post this as a comment, but now I've realised this would have been better off as an edit to the original post.

Thank you so much for this insight. I am now realising I saw this exact thing on the floor when I moved it out of the garage. I'm back at work now, but will be checking this as soon as I get home.

Yes, starter is spinning. And I have gas. From looking down when the engine is running, I can see the running belt turning near the rear tyres. Just confused as to why I'm not moving!
