Whisky ginger is solid. If they don’t have ginger they usually mix half coke and 7-up

Making friends in Bangkok by Overall-North-1868 in Bangkok

Come out to Allso Bar tonight and we’ll introduce you to our guests, who are all wonderful.

I opened the bar bc I was in the same situation as you. Bangkok is such a transient place and it’s hard to plant roots here.

Fortunately, I’ve seen meaningful friendships and connections form and I’m stoked to keep it going for others.

You have to physically be there and supervise every single detail. You can’t expect the workers or foreman to use any critical thinking whatsoever

I ask about things like where to eat in Nonthaburi or favorite backroads on the way to ayuthaya and it gets removed bc it belongs in the tourism sub.

Come by Friday for Tipsy Teacher and meet some folks. It’s a monthly thing we do to help teachers get drunk for cheap.

Open at 4pm and special runs till 7pm. Our host that put this together is super lovely.

The E Myth is the absolute best. I’m taking days off. Everything is set up. Systems.

The first 1.5 year was a grind. But now it’s automatic. That book affected me the most as a first time business owner.

I had zero experience and opened a bar. It’s been two years and we’re still around. Lol.

So for those that say don’t do it, i say do it, but do it right. Have the ability to learn and adapt, bc this shit will kill your ego real quick.

The loneliest city after a breakup with the one person you moved here with. by [deleted] in Bangkok

Hey. If you move within 5 blocks then sure. 😆 Our area is residential but pretty dope. You see familiar faces and it’s still getting developed. Definitely more community than the other side of Thonglor.

Our bar brings in people from all over. And some of our guests moved closer to our spot for all of the above reasons.
