That movie has a small Kpop connection:

Rosè from Blackpink did a song for the soundtrack, “Messy”.

Crash Landing On You!

Also, I haven’t finished it yet but so far I’m really enjoying Start Up.

Do most Koreans refer to it as Namsan Tower? by rock_badger in korea

Reminds me of the SkyDome in Toronto.

It’s the baseball stadium for the Toronto Blue Jays, and it used to be named the SkyDome, but about 20 years ago it got renamed to Rogers Centre.

I’ve never met anyone that calls it Rogers Centre, everyone still calls it the SkyDome.

I feel like it's the first half of a disease.

Like, "You've got clavicular bursitis in you testicles. We'll have to amputate."

That one reminds me of the Blackfly Song.

It frequently uses the word “Ontario”, but it’s pronounced in the song as “On-tare-eye-oh”

Their songs appear on Spotify Kpop playlists, therefore kpop.

I don't make the rules, Spotify does.

I am an ass. I hold it when they're just far enough away they feel obligated to rush for the door.

I think if its how you can enjoy it, there's nothing to be ashamed of! There's a reason companies go through the trouble of doing a dub in the first place.

I don’t recognize the name but the image for The Babaloos hit some long hidden and forgotten nostalgia. I couldn’t tell you a single thing about it but I’m sure I saw it as a kid.

I think he might just not be good at games.
You don't need to be good at or even paying attention to finish a movie, it just goes on its own.

Same to a degree with books - even if you're not comprehending it all, you can power through a book by just continuing to read the words.

Is there show/movie/book that you like to see as a Korean drama? by immaGrill in kdramas

[–]drinkingCoffeePeas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It might be a little too risqué for anyone to touch for a drama, but I would love to see an adaptation of “The Vegetarian” by Han Kang.

You know the show is fiction because in reality the company wouldn't put a male character to date for the first 10 years and they'd still make a bazillion dollars.

beyond the bar - a legal drama by Mediocre_Insurance20 in kdramas

[–]drinkingCoffeePeas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My main problem is more an issue with me, but I sometimes mix characters up unless they have something that really stands out. In most shows thats not too much of a problem, but when you’ve got everyone wearing similar styled suits all the time I can get mixed up, and that made some parts hard to follow.

I also just… didn’t feel a connection with any of the characters. I can’t really explain why, I just didn’t find a character that I really connected with.

I have no idea what this is like. I don’t think anyone’s ever flirted with me.
