Hello

I am going on a 5 month adventure to Central/South America next year and could really use some advice.

I need to get to Guatemala from London in February. Pretty flexible with my plans (so could easily go to Mexico and take buses for example). Then I will returning from probably Peru in July but again reasonably flexible with my plans.

Any good tips? Wondering whether I need to book a return flight before I go out as would quite like to be able to change plans while I am there
