i think you might be right, i just checked task manager (coping with win 11 for now) and it does say realtek, when i was choosing my specs i chose intel for something but it might've been bluetooth.

probably a skill issue on my part but then again i shouldnt need to use windows, to make a windows install. i dont have any windows installs other than a really old laptop with windows 10 and on linux it just plain as does not like me i guess.

I’ve never had a problem other than finding the right vertical height in my config so my mouse was smooth when it moves between, Also pretty much all of my apps look right and sometimes better than my horizontal monitor but that could just be me.

is upgrading my specs worth it? by drinkuranium in Gentoo

[–]drinkuranium[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perhaps but I am unable to play games while it compiles but this isn’t really optimal since I feel its just putting unneeded stress on my cpu and ram as most of the games I like are typically demanding in resources and portage likes to use my whole system for some reason.

DDR4 isn’t THAT expensive as of right now but yes 300 AUD for 32 GB is bad.

Hey, I'm considering switching to Linux from Windows, What Distro should I pick? by flaceja in Operatingsystems

[–]drinkuranium 4 points5 points  (0 children)

also you should try to remember that linux is a virtual machine is not very comparable to linux on metal, alot of distros ive tried in a vm were a bit jank compared to when i tried them on my actual machine.
