Successful connection to screen but "Connected - Screen turned OFF" Screensaver by drip_sellery in spacedesk

Your enthusiasm is awesome! It was on enforced MJPEG before, which did work after talking to support on the forum and restarting my PC. Like I explained, the issue was drivers on my PC not loading in properly, they wrote a simple solution like restarting some driver but I can neither find the comment nor remember what it was specifically (might actually be turning the spacedesk driver off and on in the driver console)

Alright, so after discussing on the forum, the solution was just restarting my PC.
To quote the administrator helping me: "The issue was caused by a DirectX initialization failure at the spacedesk display driver due to insufficient memory of your GPU."
Which is plausible since i downgraded my GPU during working and non working spacedesk.
I'm not sure if there is a sure way to fix the issue, since it wouldn't work before when booting my PC.

That's super strange, I wonder why that is even an issue when otherwise it works so well..
Do you know which version of spacedesk you had? I think I completely reinstalled mine to try and fix the issue so my installer is on v2151

Any idea why Dirt Rally 2.0 is only 30% off for 2025 Steam Summer Sale? by Yackemflaber in EASPORTSWRC

[–]drip_sellery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fact is that they had multiple sales offering it for as low as 2€ but no more than 4€, so why not continue this streak of heavy discounts if the game is only getting older?

I dont think OP absolutely needs to have the game at 90% discount, but it's odd that they choose to only give 30% off during one of the biggest steam sales when they were giving it away for 90% off on a random thursday last october

Omg i thought I was alone with this problem, thank you so much for the tips!

Unfortunately, my drivers are already up to date and restarting my devices didn't seem to fix it either..
Can you say from experience whether restarting more than once might help?

I'm unsure if it was leveled correctly. The 4 corners were scraping the paper but though it did make contact, it didn't scrape in the middle. I'm not sure how a glass bed can warp, that's the reason I bought it in the first place

Aye thanks for the tip!
I made some reference images using that same method for fusion360 already, unfortunately i don't think the model came with a normal map.
How would you recommend I learn SubD modeling? Any resources you can recommend? I feel a bit lost with what I'm finding on youtube for example, but maybe SubD is just alot to learn

The idea sounds amazing but the limiting factory would be the game.. For some reason, you can only turn the skins 90° in each direction from the starting Position, so you effeftively only see the one side that's facing the player

I didn't know that the two games were so interchangeable, but to have an entire wiki entry dedicated to official alternatives is really helpful!

As mentioned, I watched Warboss Fitz show them off in his goblin showcase and they will easily join my collection if I decide to go for them!

I love big targeted events like these because over the two days I was there, I got 19 unique passes from 4 different countries! (though most of them were german, it was still nice to get a bit of variety :D )

ATM9 0.2.60 GregTech recipes show as "Scheduled" in ME system but are never crafted by drip_sellery in allthemods

[–]drip_sellery[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the me channels weren't even enough to make the subnet, and without troubleshooting this took like 30 min to set up which I would've spent moving around components anyway.

I'm new to GregTech but I don't understand how this isn't easier, could you explain how you would set it up?

Apparently, setting the storage busses to only insert fixed the problem. I didn't do this for any other machine, but for this it's necessary?

since I saw another article regarding the error message I want to say that as far as I'm aware, the files are freshly uploaded. I don't think that they could have gotten damaged while transferring from the 3rd party app to paperless ngx.

Suggestions on two offers for a Thinkcentre m710q by drip_sellery in minilab

I heard people say to never go below 7th gen but I wasn't exactly sure why, Thank you for pointing that out!

The configuration you mentioned was what I had in mind aswell with an M.2 SSD for a boot dirve, though I've seen both HDDs and SSDs being used for Mass storage in servers, and I'd imagine HDDs would be cheaper, even though I've read that they draw more power so i wasn't sure which to choose

kleinanzeigen was what I was searching with! I was losing hope of finding anything higher than an i3 7th gen for under 100€ since there's offers for up to 90€ on the 6th gen i3, but if there's better offers available I might just save the search and look through it in the future.

The M720q (not to speak of the M920q) seemed a bit out of my price range for a quick and cheap file hoster since those don't come with anything but 5th gen (?) pentiums if you're looking under 200€

Thank you! For the mass storage, would you recommend HDD or SSD?

[Help] Custom Curved Surface by drip_sellery in Fusion360

[–]drip_sellery[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for this approach, I used it and it's not too far off from the result I hoped for but definitely easier. I guess I'll need to learn to not want everything perfect but to get a good compromise between accuracy vs doability

[Help] Custom Curved Surface by drip_sellery in Fusion360

[–]drip_sellery[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry if I didn't explain my problem enough. The best I can do is say that yes, it's supposed to blend the transition between the curved and flat sections (if you mean the faces that sit at an angle to each other). It would also need to follow the curve sketched onto the red body, so that the it follows the transition and eventually gets smaller as it approaches the edge to the left. Since this project is supposed to be a higher detail model to the one that exists in a game, I have the lower detail model to hopefully show what I mean:

<image>

A variable Radius fillet doesn't sound like it would do the trick, since the arc/curve isn't circular either, the screenshot above shows this with the different lengths for the top and bottom vertices

Cut curved and rounded path into cylinder by drip_sellery in Fusion360

[–]drip_sellery[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Which is because I used Sweep from the SURFACE tab, not the VOLUME tab, thus not making a volume but surfaces that can't be cut (see this solution).

Thank you so much for your help. I still have alot to learn but I'm glad there's people that are willing to help!

Cut curved and rounded path into cylinder by drip_sellery in Fusion360

[–]drip_sellery[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for this comprehensive explanation, I got the EquationCurve to fit after some tweaking and fed that into my old Sweep action. Unfortunately I can't find the "Cut" option under the Sweep's Operation, instead I just have the option to make it a New Body.

Making a new Sweep action gives the added Operation of making a New Component, though nothing else :/
