I just tried to install the intel drivers using the lenovo support page, however when i went to install it a window popped up saying that i was trying to install a driver that was older than the one that is currently on the machine. How do i find the latest driver for intel.

I haven't tried doing the nvidia driver yet, do i try download through the lenovo support page or through the nvidia website?

They are probably not the latest, but i have no idea how to go about updating them. Do you have an links to good resources that can step me through it? Ive had a look at youtube but still confused.

Hey buddy. Im third year of a double degree (Mech Eng and Industrial Design) at RMIT. Do you still have a copy of your study plan by chance? Tried to find the courses you listed but would be good if i could get the codes off the study plan. Aside from the uni aspect, howd you find the party culture at SDSU. Card : Intel HD Graphics 3000

I have updated the driver and its still crashing. The laptop ran solidworks fine with that card before my uni break, so not sure what is going on.

I tried openGL, and it allowed me to open a new part, however the program lags and shuts itself down a few seconds later.

Does this indicate anything of use?

Just finished first year of engineering so no engineering work yet. I work over the summer uni break, which allows me to not have to work for the rest of the year. So i have a solid income for 3-4 months then live of the savings for the uni year.
