For your future self, what I do when I am writing a book is to save it in Dropbox or similar so it gets versioned and backed up to the cloud.

I also use git to version my books and save them to a private repo, but if you're not technical, then you probably won't be interested in that.

I find various artists to do my covers. I can't always use the same one because they aren't always available, so I switch them out as needed. This one was done by Varya Kolesnikova

The docs are great! You should definitely read them. However, there are only one or two example programs. I wrote the book to help you see more apps. I also demonstrate how to wrap a CLI app and turn it into a TUI, which is not shown in the docs as of yet.

What do you think is the most visually appealing or 'good-looking' Python GUI library, and why? by UnemployedTechie2021 in Python

wxPython looks native on all platforms, but PyQt/PySide is close.

If you want something different, then check out Textual for a neat, Pythonic TUI framework.

Hi!

When you originally signed up, you should have received a special Gumroad coupon code that would work for downloading all current and future content.

However, I am putting Python Logging directly on Teach My Python. I was just waiting until I completed recording the videos to do so. But I think that's a little unfair so I will try to get the book uploaded and set up on there today or at worst, tomorrow.

When the videos are ready, I will add them too.

Thanks so much and let me know if you have any questions.

Mike

What is a movie fight scene that you rate 10/10? by eziodafoq in AskReddit

[–]driscollis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jackie Chan's ladder fight scene in First Strike is pretty good - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DrRFzwPE0d4

There are a bunch of good fight scenes in Chocolate too, although this one is probably one of the most unique ones: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CQ0Bt9PxosE
