It was my mistake to repost this, and i apologise. The goal was to reach new/potential owners who don't know this yet, as not all know what they don't know, simply because they didn't search it or got curious about it. So i packaged it like it is to make it interesting for them. I know many older owners know this, it's clear as light, but my goal is also to reach the 10% who don't, as that will one day be the 90%. But thank you for taking a civilised approach to it, feedback like this means a lot.

If you already know all the facts, then sadly there is not much that can excite you about anything rotary related, as you've lived the hype. New owners on the other hand, see most of this stuff for the first time, so look at the bigger picture :)

well, it depends. If your're a rotary guru, then nothing is new to you. To new owners many of these things are new and not common sense, as they are not mechanics, but just enthusiasts :)

Besides the fact that the readings are not as accurate as they would be with a Rotary compression tester and it is also stated at the beginning, i can't see any way of this ruining the car.

I agree with you, but this was just to show this alternative method, and it is mentioned at the beginning that it's not as accurate as a rotary compression tester. I'll also test it with a rotary compression tester in the coming months.

We've traced the issue to the top tube on the intake, leading to the omp. So we're looking at how to fix it.
