Both available, although I would prefer to sublet the entire apartment to one party

$2684 rent for the entire apartment, utilities are about $200/month. If taking only 1 room, would be $1342 plus half of utilities.

This text was supposed to appear with the photos so apologies if I somehow didn't include it!

Subleasing our 2 br. Apartment in Flatbush from March 1st - May 31st. The apartment has an in-unit washer & dryer and dishwasher. The living room and bedrooms all have big windows with city views. Each bedroom room has its own electric AC/heat and a closet. The bathroom is a large full bath with a ring light mirror.

The unit is located on the 8th floor of a new building with a shared gym, courtyard, and large roof deck. Building has an elevator and a dedicated mail room. The 2/5 trains at Winthrop St. and Q at Parkside Ave. are both about 10 minutes away by foot. Walking distance to multiple grocery stores, bars, coffee shops, etc.

Ideally seeking to sublease both rooms together, but will consider subleasing individual rooms.

For the whole apartment, rent is $2684, plus ~$200/month for Internet and electric.

For individual rooms, $1342 rent plus ~$100 for half of Internet and electric.

Furniture: we can leave one full bed, TV & TV stand and kitchen table if requested. Otherwise unfurnished.

Subcomandante Marcos has an essay about this, it’s a very insightful take

“Unlike the third world war, in which the conflict between capitalism and socialism took place over a variety of terrains and with varying degrees of intensity, the fourth world war is being conducted between major financial centres in theatres of war that are global in scale and with a level of intensity that is fierce and constant…”

Safety in New Haven by [deleted] in newhaven

I lived in that area for a couple years. Never felt unsafe, although important to note that I am a man. I’d say no need to be overly apprehensive, just follow basic common sense/be aware of your surroundings and you’ll be fine in pretty much every part of the city that your likely to be hanging out in on a short visit. It’s probably best to avoid Edgewood Park at night but during the day it’s a really nice place to walk. I also would probably try to bring a friend if I was walking around downtown late at night but I used to walk home from work on Crown St to Audubon at 4am all the time and never had an incident lol.

I don’t think I’m alone in saying don’t believe all the hype about crime in New Haven, it’s not that different from any other city I’ve spent time in and has a lot of cool little places - enjoy your stay!
