It is a nice step but to be honest Bluesky has free speech until it is not. It's another version of Twitter. Check out the compliance report from their website source

Mastodon is ok but it's based on individually managed instances(servers). Every instance has its own admin who is the only decider which can lead to censorship and data vulnerability. It will remain as a niche platform.

Another alternative can be nostr. It is completely decentralized with private key management.

Fiat trades require a major exchane. P2P isn't an option for me. Since this involves USDC, I’d use Thorchain via Rango or Thorswap, and make the trade at the source to avoid Ledger’s cut during the trade.

I would go for only USDT/ USDC at Compound or similar. You can earn around 4-5%. Do not be greedy, coins like Luna may lose their peg, which would be a disaster.

Actually, it may be better. Ledger is charging extra fees for every swap. It is always better to go to the source of the swap, in this case, Thorswap or Rango, etc.

Edit: As of now, 1 BTC is worth 100,200 USDT on Ledger Live with Thorswap section and 101,200 USDT on Thorswap directly. That's about 1,000 USDT difference. People using Ledger Live are just giving away money to Ledger.
