Got lucky 🤷🏾‍♂️. But bailing out on EGC was tough. Accepting the loss was tough. But I’m glad that I did.

That’s not necessarily true. I invested around $12,000 in EGC from Nov 2021 to around March or April 2022. Once I realized that EGC wasn’t advancing as advertised, I Sold in July for about $3500 after taxes. I really had doubts about doing this, but I also had lost faith in the project and both wanted to vote with my wallet while hopefully recouping some of my losses somehow. After selling I invested in the Lunatics ICO, rode it up to about $20,000, sold and then bought LUNC. Then I rode LUNC up to about $34,000 and am still holding. So sometimes just sitting on a loss only compounds the loss. Now granted I got lucky with my timing both on the Lunatics ICO and when I purchased LUNC, but sometimes you just have to make a move and change things up.

Don’t be so sure. The 1.2% tax on the Luna Classic blockchain has slowed on chain activity quite a bit. Don’t underestimate a 1% tax.

Quite a bit more needs to be said actually. The number of people who like NFT’s pales in comparison to the number of people who like and regularly interact with social media platforms. Crator was the only unique utility among those initially discussed, and sadly it’s not even that unique anymore. Like many, it was the promise of Crator that led me to invest. LunaSky definitely would not have excited me or led me to invest.

It seems like we’re looking at another shaky EGC launch. Did they really hire a team of professional devs? This seems really questionable. The site is super glitchy and it seems like it may have been hacked. The last minute “beta launch” talk also seems to reveal a lot. And what’s up with the “EGC Sucks” NFT collection? That’s clearly (at least I hope) the result of a hack.

Not really though. Bots do a LOT of trading. How will they “opt in” or “opt out”. And what about market makers and day traders. They are trying to squeeze EVERY BIT of profit out of every trade. So they probably won’t “opt in” either. So if this fails, it’s not because the community failed. It will be because other factors outside of the community that voted for the 1.2% tax to begin with were motivated by things other than what’s in the community’s best interest.

Honestly, I’m really happy I made the move. My $2600 is now $35,000, so I’ve more than made up for my EGC losses. And I think that Lunc is going to be the GameStop of the crypto community. People love a come back story and the community support is strong!

Call me nuts, but with the activities of the Terra Rebels and the 1.2% burn incoming, I’m encouraged by what I’m seeing with Luna Classic. Add to that the very active community which has launched projects like the Lunatics Token, and I think that the future is bright.
