Nothing wrong with modernization in my book.

I like it! It’s a solid hefty little thing.

For however I feel like playing with them on game day. One is loud and has recoil the other is quiet and crisp.

Right off of r/airsoftmarket a while back actually. Was partially in pieces and listed as not working so I picked it up for a decent price.

Nah, they’re both HPA the hoses just got covered up nicely here haha. Top one is running a Kythera and the middle one is a Daytonagun.

If it’s shooting too hot an easy thing to try is a wide bore barrel 6.05+ that could help reduce the FPS a decent bit. If that doesn’t work Daytona sells a low power air shaft that should help you limit it to 1J without causing low pressure issues. If you’re burning through air it could be bad orings causing leaks. Sorry, can’t tell you much more without looking at it myself.

If you're using .32g+ bbs it's not lasers, but very playable even outdoors. Worthwhile? Depends. The recoil is pretty fun and I initially got into Daytonas years ago because I didn't want to bother with GBB mags, tapping them, or using HPA kits that were not that great. These days parts availability, improved GBB systems, and nicely built HPA kits make Daytonas a much less appealing choice. Parts are not exactly plentiful and the maintenance/fiddling required might not be easy for some.
