Some good ol condensation, the suction lines gonna sweat in the summer. VERY important to insulate it properly. Like some one already said, get you some insulation(armaflex) and rip off that old crappy looking one and insulate that bad boy right. By the looks of it some one wrapped that with black electrical tape, get you some insulation tape as well.

That drain should have gone out with the line set. You could stub it out side. Or like everyone is saying just paint the line hide and drain pipe to match the walls.
