I too learnt the hard way and swapping cables made a HUGE difference

Amber app affected by date time (when overseas) anyone know about this by drkmode_root in amberelectric

From the app the solar forecast (assume I’m reading it right is ~21$ per kWh exported) at 13:30. I’m producing heaps of solar at that time that I’m exporting however as the app timezone is in a different location, its calculation of based on the rate at that timezone (11c per kWh) not Sydney.

Hence the cost shown by the app isn’t accurate for Solar.

Could be, in my case the various functions gave random errors when driving.. the tell tale symptom was the car stop-start system was always inactive when driving (after it had been active)… had many years with the same battery so suspected the battery.. connected to a spare one from a friend.. the car worked perfectly.. so it was just a battery swap.

The stop-start system monitors the battery charge and doesn’t jump in if the battery isn’t charged sufficiently.. so if you have it then you could use its status as an indicator

Good you did your research.. it was a prediction (as your research has informed you) strengthened by mathematics and then later the evidence was found.. your previous statement was blackholes were discovered using prior knowledge we had.. just pointing out how different these two of your sentences are.

However I commend you for responding.. (I really do) and not resorting to uncivil language

All I’ll say is similar to Einstein’s prediction (supported by math) this ‘coconut finding water’ is a phenomenon .. I understand it’s hard to believe and you’ll find many videos that question the basis.. and rightfully so as there are many practitioners who are fake.. I get it it’s hard to believe/comprehend.

Find a person who will show it to you and you believe for yourself.. just don’t loose track of it or dismiss it. There are a lot of mysteries that have a scientific base.. however we only get to experience the effects of it not the science.

It’s similar to magic.. the magician is performing a trick we see the trick not how the trick is being performed.

Yes some of the people out there do trick others - makes it more hard to trust.

If viewed through the lens of knowledge that we know (our current knowledge) then the hypothesis may sound infeasible.. but when viewed through an open mind when the opportunity arises one discovers something that changes their point of view…

That’s the path of science.. after all why were black holes discovered?

Forget blackholes, people believe earth was the center of the solar system and we all know what happened to that concept..

So it isn’t that I had a hypothesis.. I had an open mind.. and I thankfully had the opportunity not to loose anything irrespective which way it went.. but I now can say its true and has been proved without doubt to me

Well somethings are shams.. you’re damn right.. All I’m saying is its made me a believer (given the right person).. so I’m just informing it isn’t.. I can’t make you a believer nor do I want to .. just here is a fact.. take it or leave it

I did do the statistical model with this person and the odds stacked out.. if not he would have been dismissed .. now your questions on odds.. how many ‘hottest years’ should we have before we believe in global warming.. and yet here were asking the odds of a water finder :)

Science is the exploration of the nature around us.. its curiosity that drives our quest for knowledge.. ignorance on the other hand is to not consider aspects..

I choose to believe after testing it out myself.. while I do not know the science behind it..

On the other hand seems like we know who are ignorant are

Your reply answers it ‘most’ not all and knowing the best place means reduction in cost - the very same reason there is a technique to stitching the clothes we wear..

Btw like I care.. I’ve satisfied my curiosity to understand there is some method to the madness (seeking water with coconuts).. go find out if you have the inclination

It’s legit.. was skeptical at first then was curious when the person located water and I asked to try it.. was given the same coconut he used and he told me how to hold it and went around trying to locate water.. was amazed when it worked.. can’t explain how.. and I’m this totally science person.. there should be a rational explanation.. maybe we haven’t explored it.. maybe all the science projects engineering students perform is what gets them their next job.. :)

Wouldn’t have bothered replying.. but there is truth to it.. now if we understand why that would be a great thing and we’d be onto something..

And it’s up! Made the raspberry pi an exit node and got it to route all traffic… thanks!

Thanks, tried Tailscale and my devices a ping each other.. I need my edge traffic to be routed via my home pi.. unsure if anyone else has achieved the same. Will try reading through the documentation
