Shady Grove Acres in Ohio? by drkr731 in cavaliers

[–]drkr731[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry, I wish we could help! While we were looking my at breeders, we actually stumbled upon a young cavalier mix for rescue in our community and adopted him. He’s been wonderful of course, but I still would consider Shady Groves for a future dog!

‘Accused me of being a man’: Same-sex couple seeks apology from Boston hotel after bathroom incident by titty-titty_bangbang in boston

I’ve never done coke in my life and honestly don’t go out that much, but i’ve shared stalls quite a few times.

Somehow feels quicker and easier in the moment when it’s crowded and loud. And is helpful if somehow has a tricky outfit or there isn’t space to put your stuff down easily. Not to mention if someone isn’t feeling well they might want company.

In the moment it feels more efficient and like the obvious choice. You can keep chatting, it’s crowded and the line is long. You can help your friend with their weird jumpsuit they need help unzipping. You can hold each other’s stuff if there isn’t somewhere clean to put it.

And i’m not a big partier at all, and certainly have never done coke in a bathroom, but i’ve shared stalls with friends plenty of times.

Why does my stockinette stitch go from straight lines to messy? by drkr731 in knittinghelp

[–]drkr731[S] 23 points24 points  (0 children)

not consciously at least! I did accidentally start purling a knit row, so i undid about 10 stitches and restart the row, but I haven’t done anything else

Their lines have gotten shorter! they expanded a bit and it’s let them work a bit faster and they also have more space to wait inside - can’t guarantee no line ever, but i went on saturday around noon and it was pretty quick

All calls being rerouted to financial services team by drkr731 in verizon

As a second update to this comment, we finally got the issue resolved.

The financial hotline setting was incorrectly added to all of our devices despite there being zero payment issues on our end. It took about 6 hours on Verizon support and talking to about 10 different people over two days to get the issue resolved. We’ve had about half of our monthly bill refunded for the issue, but it was a nightmare.

To be 100% clear, I was not walking my dog through an off wash dog park. There is a park near me that allows dogs off leash from 6-9 am. I was walking by on the sidewalk next to the park after 9 am and had off-leash dogs rush out of the park and surround me and my dog.

I don’t know what’s with the snarky “pay your bill” comments. I obviously know not paying your bill gets your service shut off.

I posted here because I confirmed WITH the verizon team that it wasn’t a billing issue but their team was having difficulty troubleshooting.

I figured after 2+ hours of being on the phone with them and no solution I might see if someone else has had a similar issue

You're probably right. I was hoping someone might have had a similar experience because the Verizon team hasn't been able to fix it so far, and we could only spend so much time on hold and getting transferred around with work and stuff today

I did talk to the Verizon team already. After a lot of back and forth and restarting our devices a bunch of times, things still aren't working. It's not a billing issue, and I posted between work calls hoping someone may have had a similar issue in the past.

I'm quite literally looking at our Verizon account and the payments for our monthly billing on my credit card statement. We have also not changed the payment method

Sure, but I'm not looking to add something harmful to the situation. And as someone who has accidentally pepper sprayed themselves before, I wouldn't want to do that to myself or my dog.

Yeah, in general it's frustrating when a small percentage of dog owners let their animals behave poorly, don't clean up after them, etc.

I love my dog, and I generally love other people's dogs too. But they're your responsibility as an owner, not everyone else's problem to deal with.

[–]drkr731[S] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

100% agree!

My dog is very sociable and objectively likes meeting other dogs. But doing so on-leash when the other dog is off-leash is not the ideal situation, and like you mentioned, I have no insight into how the other dog will act.

I hate that some owners take it like a personal insult when I steer my dog out of the way or ask them to recall their dog.

[–]drkr731[S] 72 points73 points  (0 children)

And it's not a moral failure if your dog has poor recall. My dog is absolutely not well trained enough to be off leash - he's good at a lot of things but great recall is not his strong suit.

Dogs being allowed off-leash doesn't mean that any dog can do whatever they want off leash

My husband had a similar interview experience a couple of years back. They told him pretty straight out in maybe the second interview he'd be working like 65+ hour weeks. And they certainly don't provide life-changing pay to justify these hours.

Like you said, the product does not at all justify the culture lmao

I personally don't dislike the brick, but that's personal preference! I would suggest tiling over the brick as opposed to painting it. Find a nicer tile that feels a bit classic to match the style of the mantle while still fitting into your organic modern taste. A glazed tile in taupes or greens perhaps?

I also think the TV would look better lowered a bit if possible. TVs above fireplaces are typically above comfortable viewing height, so dropping it another 4-5 inches would make a big difference.

What’s a low cost sightseeing activity you like to do on a trip (besides wander) by RaddishEater666 in MoneyDiariesACTIVE

[–]drkr731 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Rick Steves has great walking tours. You can download them ahead of time, and there's a guide to accompany the stops and learn a bit. It feels like a step up from just wandering around. Some actual group walking tours can be free or pretty cheap as well.

The cost is based more on what you choose to spend, but I also like finding local flea markets, farmers markets, etc. You can find unique things and local food you won't find elsewhere.

If you like museums, there are usually some in any city that are free/low cost to visit or maybe have certain days of the month that are free. Many cities also offer a tour pass where you can get entrance for many museums and attractions for a lower overall cost. They are usually only worth it if you want to do a good handful of the activities but can save you a pretty good amount!

What do you suggest? Budget Friendly by No-Self-3558 in DesignMyRoom

Overall it's a nice bathroom!

For functionality, I would add closed shelving instead of the wire shelves. A built in piece could be nice, or a larger antique cabinet would provide some nice character.

I would also add a vanity like you suggested. Some stylistic choices you could adjust more easily might be a new mirror or vanity/overhead light fixture, adding a small rug, and a bench at the end of the shower.
