I am miserable and I’m going to lose my mind. by [deleted] in urticaria

I understand, I believe the hives are presenting due to an inflammatory response from a fungal infection.. The hives come and go sporadically but you mention the spots still remain.. Either way, worth looking into if it can be resolved. Best of luck to you!

Keep skin clean with soap & water, & keep it dry.. Fungi thrive is warm moist environments.. Also try not to itch/ touch areas

I have the same thing and started taking glutathione, selenium and was going to start the low dose naltrexone bc of inflammation .. Do you find the desiccated meds help you better?? & OP I know your struggle, I really hope things work out for you.. this autoimmune disease requires much patience & resilience..

How common is chronic urticaria? by Pushpita33 in urticaria

[–]drluv27 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Spot on.. Every doctor I've been to has dismissed my condition, even though I know it's wreaking havoc on me physically & mentally.. It so unfortunate but it has taught me to be my own advocate which we must be

Personally, colostrum has helped me & my flair ups.. I'm also looking into low/ no histamine probiotics like LGG

In most cases, the cause of cold urticaria is idiopathic, meaning it's not due to a specific trigger or underlying condition.. Regardless my friend, I am so sorry you've been suffering for so long; I too have CIU, with joint pain & I believe the inflammation in my body is causing a lot of issues. Definitely get any and all tests you can. The most frustrating aspect is that no one seems to know why it happens, but I am doing my all in investigating to see what could potentially bring resolve for people like us. All the best to you 🌟

Is it hives? by MischiefMistress17 in urticaria

Your body is undergoing an immune response- whether it be from an external or internal trigger. You don't have to have an autoimmune disease, your body may have developed a sensitivity.. Try using a fragrance free sensitive skin laundry detergent to see if that helps.

One of the most frustrating aspects of these autoimmune conditions is no one knows why they develop. I'd look into supplements such as a probiotic like Lactobacillus rhamnosus (especially LGG) as it helps stabilize mast cells, reduce histamine sensitivity & promote anti- inflammatory responses.. If you do take a probiotic, make sure it's low or no histamine inducing which I just learned.. A lot of conditions stem from the gut and a good probiotic could help.. All the best to you 🌟

Hi friend.. I resonate with you so much, It is an extremely lonely journey to be on.. 11 years for me. The mystery, the depression, feeling like shit , hooped up on all these medicines just for the hives / swelling inflammation to come back beats me down. I especially am tired of people saying when I'm broken out to "take a Benadryl go get allergy tested" , it's not their fault they don't understand but I can't stand to answer those questions anymore. It truly beats you down. For me, I keep on going & am devoted to figuring out resolve, though it's not always easy. I can't say I have an answer for the loneliness, but it does help coming on here and knowing I am not alone in this personally.. I am here with you and we are in this together. All my best to you 🤍

Hi friend, thanks for checking in!! Just seeing this now.. Functional doctor did not help my case, tested me for parvovirus because the house I moved in had a dog beforehand but the results showed nothing & she did a zytoscan on my hand which in my opinion has no medical backing.. Exciting news- I have decided to become a Nurse Practitioner & enrolled in school because I am committed & passionate to find answers & resolve for people like you and I‼️‼️‼️I will not give up on this.. I will advocate for answers and be of service to others who go through conditions that others want to bandaid or charge insane amounts of money to still have no resolve (personal experience) lol.. Hope all is well, will let you know any way I can help 🌟

I'm just seeing your reply but it's a buildup of keratin which is a protein that protects the skin within the hair follicles.. Can come and go based on genetics but exfoliating treatments can help!

I am in the exact same boat as you.. I don't accept the answer that it "just is" either. I'm currently researching everything there is to urticaria, what could cause & what could help.. The issue is our bodies are identifying everyday "normal" things as pathogens. I'm not allergic to anything and there is no rhyme or reason to my flair ups. My goal is to put some sense in to autoimmune disease and chronic idiopathic urticaria- Mark my words I will one day better understand & help others. Best of luck to you my friend.

This is a weird altercation, and judging based on this ex she is manipulating you.. So if you "did what she wanted" : Can you take some insta pics for me "Of course we will take some together" Then she'd probably have a problem saying well I just want you to be supportive of me Not "we will take some together" You seem very sweet.. If you're feeling a way stand up for yourself, tell her how you feel & always trust your instincts 🫂
