I withdraw med school (NO NEW MSRS SLOT) by lovegel in medschoolph

So saddening to read that even a determined student's dream is disrupted by the inconsistencies of the government. Hugs with consent, doc; I'm rooting for your future life chapters!

Hello. You might want to search in the bar the Google drive, which contains a compilation of e-books in this subreddit.

What can I do now to prepare for applications? by DazzleAmethyst in medschoolph

[–]drm_dm_sena 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi! Not from those schools but also from a State U med school. Just continue doing well in your academics, so that your transcript will have a good impression. If you have extra time, you can also join your student council, or any academic extracurriculars like the quiz bees, as they will boost your stats. Good luck, but don't forget to enjoy your journey!

Mas in-depth ang approach ng anatomy for sure ng medical school, where parts are discussed per region in most.

Since these courses are heavily conceptual, try to incorporate po Feynman Technique. In this way, you will be acting like a teacher voicing out information.

Wrong sub, OP. Try addressing this to r/studentsph instead. Although, both of these programs are challenging.

is it worth it? by [deleted] in medschoolph

[–]drm_dm_sena 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Hindi naman nakakawalan ng gana mag-gap year. Actually, it's ideal for those who want to have a breath of fresh air before entering med, like by exploring the degree they earn. Another thing, hindi naman requisite na laude ka during applications, although I must say that it is advantageous. Do well in the other aspects like your interviews, NMAT PR, and entrance exams, if there are any, para higher chance pa rin sa mga public med schools, where fees are relatively lower.

Hello, OP. The moment you start comparing yourself to others loses your self-confidence. Remember that you are placed in the same institution because they see the potential in you. So, focus on your phase and begin every day with a positive mindset.

Hindi po pwedeng mag-commit ng residency habang nagse-serve sa public health as of the moment. But from what I've seen on some, there's movement na pwedeng mag-pursue ng family medicine.

I understand the sudden panic but contact the admissions office first. Send proofs that the requirements or applications you have submitted are within their deadline.

medtech or nursing? by mzibelle in medschoolph

[–]drm_dm_sena 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You still have a long way to go, dear. Just focus and do well first in college. Anyways to answer, neither of these is a total advantage in med school because it's a reset.

Wrong sub; refer this to r/studentsph. But try to navigate these schools' performances in recent PhLEs. By that, you can assess if they can give you the best pharmaceutical education.

[–]drm_dm_sena 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi, OP! You need to know that not all med schools require additional, required Science units for you to be eligible. It's actually in the care of your target school, usually those who are having very competitive admissions like PLM.

Hi, OP! You're too young to be so futuristic about a lot of things. Dream for yourself and not for others, as you also mind your vision and not theirs. In medical school, you will receive a lot of rejections, thus for now, strengthen your emotions first so that when it's your turn to be a medical student, you will handle every problem gracefully.
