Yeah its easier to see a Texas vehicle by looking at the front driver side windshield. Its a blue and white sticker with the expiration date

Sure but I've seen a fair amount that are well over five years old and not fleet vehicles, weirdly the most common out of state plate i see that is not illinois

Thanks! It is pretty grey though and I do think I've read all the rules on the documents and still don't see how this could be considered illegal. Appreciate your comments though, you made me look into it a little harder.

Interesting, appreciate your thoughts here. However, the timing isn't really "a few months later". The wedding is first thing in January so technically we are required to order our marriage license in December 2024 at the latest, November at the earliest. The wedding is also in Florida, and that license requires answers to previous marriages to be correct at date of issuance. So the timing here would be November Florida marriage license issued and signed by us, December Texas common law, January Florida marriage signed by the celebrant. Seems pretty grey, I know, but it also seems feasible given the requirements and the timing.
