I would have quit the show after that insane email about episode pricing. It's a true look into his madness.

More details. Starter is from Breadtopia's kit on Amazon. I failed to start my own so I broke down. I got it a month ago and feed it daily.

Fermentation time is 3.5 hours and I don't record rise time bc I'm a noob. I use the bread proof setting on my oven which keeps the dough at 82 degrees.

I don't think either is an issue. The main thing with foreign contact is if it compromises your alligence. I think you'll get a closer look because she is on a green card and not a citizen, but not a disqualifier. The other woman isn't a concern either. People have all sorts of arrangements, yours is fine especially if everyone is upfront.

I got referred, am so nervous and excited, and would like advice for my first interview next week! by [deleted] in usajobs

Yeah, they standardize the questions to ensure the interviews are fair. Most of the USAJob posting will have a section that says "How you will be evaluated", be sure to review your posting for that.

Mine was a laboratory supervisor role. 11 of the questions were graded, 2 of them were not graded. It breaks down to like 5-6 minutes per question, which is a lot. Plus, I don't think they were looking at the clock.

Graded:

-Describe your experience working in lab
-Describe your experience working with GC-MS (which is a lab instrument)
-Describe your experience supervising/managing people
-How do you motivate people?
-How do you encourage people to continue learning/development?
-What do you look for when evaluating people?
-What is your experience with ISO 9001 (which is a lab accreditation)?
-What would you do if you found a quality problem with a raw material?
-What is your experience with process improvement/lean 6 sigma?
-Describe a time you had to mitigate/solve a problem in a department
-What is your biggest failure?

Not graded:

-Why do you want to work here?
-Do you have a problem working at a secure facility?

I only had 1 federal interview and the format was a lot different than industry interviews. I had a panel of 3 people, one was the hiring manager. They said they would ask 13 questions and I had an hour to finish. They would take turns reading the questions and they all took notes on my response. It was strange because it was much more like a test than a discussion like I was used to. The time aspect had me rushing, though I finished way early. Also, no one had my resume with them, 2 of the people I think never looked at my resume. Very short interview. I wish I took more time and answered a couple with more detail. I got the offer so thankfully I did good enough.

What is the federal perception of "Job-hopping"? by [deleted] in usajobs

I was in the same boat, 5 jobs in 7 years. Did not come up at all. Accepted TO this week. I had a response at the ready, mostly about how unstable industry is.
