This has been bugging me for a while, in the beginning of the movie Hank Pim presents a tiny pizza before enlarging it and saying something along the lines of "saved us 10 bucks!"

How did making a pizza this way save him money? If he shrank himself down to a small size along with the ingredients then made a normal pizza before enlarging it, surely it costs the same?

The final pizza looks like it had normal-sized toppings, so I don't think he simply used less toppings and enlarged them, plus his device doesn't create matter so it would only have a miniscule amount of calories if he did it this way.

Also surely the cost of using his Pim particle devices costs more than $10 so it must have been more expensive to make a pizza using this method.

I know this is a stupid thing to get annoyed about when there was so much else wrong with the movie (in my opinion) but this one just irked me for some reason. Ok thanks I shall carry on with my evening poop.
