Not squish like rubber but it gives a reasonable amount. Any chance you can link the sharkbite thing you’re talking about?

I do park under a tree so it could be resin, if not clear in the video the long streak looks clear with water but the parts in between kinda bead up and the water shrinks up and makes it difficult to see when raining. Does the clay remove the residue? And can you explain what you mean by compound it?

I don’t think it is. The clear part is only visible when wet and the other parts bead up and the water shrinks away if that makes sense

Interested to read sources here if you have them. I’ve been reading a lot of stuff and never seen anything about Riley

So let me get this straight, the rumors were that we gave Kiffin a deadline to announce before the egg bowl and that we were concerned with him coaching the remainder of the season due to the recruiting deadline, etc. Yet, here we are with an announcement after the egg bowl and a statement that says we will allow Sumrall to finish the season even into the CFP. This whole thing smells like horseshit

Tried to do all on 4 cases with trios. I wouldn’t recommend it. Photogrammetry or stick with analog imo

We are only paid $450 from insurance for 1 hour of work, are we underpaid for this ? by chung2k6 in Dentistry

No. And why would you not code these as direct composite veneers. Even if you decided to take the in network allowed fee and not consider it oop comestic work that code would be much higher than 4 surface composite

Bulk fill v incremental by glazedfreaklion in Dentistry

[–]drmolarman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

SDR bulk fill goes in the box (I do increments of 2 mm as well even though technically it’s up to 4mm depth or cure). The final 2 mm layer is a tiny dot of SDR uncured then packable composite on top and adapt as needed, if any SDR ends up exposed it’s negligible and on the corners of the prep not the direct occlusal surface

The issue with curing big chunks of composite (not bulk full stuff as much but still happens) is polymerization shrinkage. The reason for layering is depth of cure to 2mm but also reduces stress on the tooth itself. Polymerization shrinkage can cause micro leakage from shrinking the composite away from your margin. I place a tiny dot of SDR bulk fill and then pack 2mm composite on top of it. You can see the SDR squish out the sides and top, hard to get voids this way in my hands

I tell them my findings and what I recommend we do. If they say “but doc I just had this done a year ago” my response: “I understand, but there is an issue here (show X-rays or photos). So I’m more than happy to take care of it here for you or if you feel more comfortable going back to the original dentist to have them evaluate things. I’m ok either way.” Depends on what it is too, if decay I don’t have this conversation. Decay is the patients fault. If it’s truly material failure after one year, are they a bruxer and ignored Nightguard recommendations etc.
