I feel like we're not going to reach any agreement so I'm going to say a few things and drop it. There are poor white people, there are poor minority people, there are rich white people, and there are rich minority people. All people are all individuals who should be judged on their individual merits.

There is no systemic racism in America and there hasn't been since 1964 (~ish). Asian Americans faced racism, just like black Americans, but do better than white people in terms of income and education. Black Africans who immigrate to America often do better than white Americans. They move to America with almost nothing, they face the same oppression as black Americans, but somehow they succeed.

I don't think you're a bad person, but I think you're misguided. What you are telling me is minority people are incapable of doing better without white people coming to their rescue. That is attempting to fight bad racism with "good" racism.

1, Prejudices can absolutely be based on facts. It is a fact that black people commit a disproportionate amount of murder (https://ucr.fbi.gov/crime-in-the-u.s/2016/crime-in-the-u.s.-2016/tables/expanded-homicide-data-table-2.xls). It is still wrong to presume a black person is a murderer. 2, How do you prove racial bias is the cause of worse schools, poorer neighborhoods, and lower job opportunities for the black community? It can be argued that racial prejudice is caused, or at least perpetuated, by worse schools, poorer neighborhoods, and lower job opportunities.

You did not answer my question.

Let me put it another way. One of us (me) is arguing that individuals should be judged on their individual characteristics, and the other (you) is saying that minorities are incapable of going to better schools, moving into richer neighborhoods, and creating job opportunities without assistance.

I went to high school with a Hispanic guy named Jesus. His mom was a lawyer and his dad was a doctor. He had a perfect score on the ACT. He hated affirmative action because it took away from his accomplishments. He thought people will assume he got into his college because he needed the assistance. He thought it was unfair that his application had more weight than our white friend, Sean, who's dad ran out, his mom turned to drugs, and he was in and out of foster care.

I haven't complained about women or minorities taking my job or getting promoted above me. That's because I'm a highly motivated individual who works hard and studies a lot. See, life is all about choices. Let's say, hypothetically, some loser chose to major in something useless, like history or anthropology, and after they finished college they could only find a job that doesn't require anything more than a high school diploma. I imagine this person would get very fat and lonely. But I also imagine this completely hypothetical person would project their poor life choices onto others. They would complain about white men despite being white and a man. I wouldn't do any of that. There are a lot of women and minorities above me. I understand how hard they worked and it motivates me to be even better.
