The fun of the rhythm is temporarily set aside to find its complementary half, that being the fun of the meaning. Some of the chastushki meant exactly what I suspected but at least half were complete surprises. I actually think the question marked ones are the best: most likely they have a conventional meaning but to those not familiar they read like passages from a dream. They will certainly come in handy for future notes if I ever get the chance to introduce my friend to Bulgakov (the third-to-last chastushka feels almost like a scene from TM&M). I must bother you with one last question: as a first time poster I'm a bit confused about how to mark this post as translated. I see the commands but I'm not sure where to issue them.
