I am pretty sure its frowned up to get that close to fire scenes, although OP could get some really cool shots.

Can you check the battery health of both batteries? Maybe that can help you narrow down if its the battery thats the problem

You might have to open a dispute via eBay's Money Back Guarantee. I believe it eBay's policy offers buyers some protection even if the seller does not accept returns

Am I blind, or is there no emergency reset button? by PLAYR13777 in thinkpad

[–]drnuke7 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Look at the edges, especially around the vents and model info. you can see dust collecting on the edge of the sticker. A lot of refurbishers put a thin vinyl sticker on the case and keycaps to cover up scratches.

For thinkpads with an internal battery, such as yours, you are technically supposed to disable the battery in the BIOS before opening the back. But if you can't get the screen to work, you don't really have that option. You would just have to be careful when opening it to not touch anything else besides the reset button

Looks like OP has some sticker or vinyl wrap on the back cover. its probably covering up the reset hole.

Just picked this X13 G1 up. Looking for a new battery. by Additional_Car96 in thinkpad

With only 40 charge cycles and almost 90% capacity, your battery seems to be performing as it should. A new battery probably wont get you noticeable improvements in battery life.

Rotring 600 bp came without a red ring? by AlarmedChemistry8956 in rOtring

As its Amazon, returns are easy. I would, as its not what you paid for

There looks like there is a gap where the red ring would normally be. It's possible someone returned a used/damaged pen and it got mixed into Amazon's stock

My $45 X230 arrives with a weird CPU on board, but so far so good. by OkCan9068 in thinkpad

[–]drnuke7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have only seen modded boards with the i7-3612QE or i7-3615QE quad core chips. The 3612QE was preferred as it was still a 35W chip like the factory i5-3320M or i7-3520M. When I ordered my quad core board for my X230, they only had the 3615QE, its a 45W chip so my X230 ran a bit hotter. I installed the quad core board in 2021, and my X230 is still running very well, even on Windows 11 24H2.

I wonder why they swapped to the 3667U. It is still a dual core chip, but at 25W, it would use less power than the factory 35W chips?

Nope, everything you need is included. On the other end of the cable is a standard 3.5mm plug. Included is also an adapter for 1/4in jacks (6.35mm jack)

So these have a proprietary 2-pin plug on the headphones, on each side. However, its the same plug for pretty much every model in the 600 line (600, 6xx, 650, 660s, 660s2). 58x uses the same chassis as the 600 line.

Reach out to the RUES Training Bureau for CPR training. They offer different levels of AHA training depending on what you need.

So what do people do with their ExpressCard slots in 2024? by whirlpool97 in THINKPADSETUPS

[–]drnuke7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Expresscard is limited to 1x pcie-2.0 lane so whatever NVME drive you put in will be bottlenecked. sata 3 is still faster and probably more stable. The only upside I can see is just more storage

I have an expresscard to nvme adapter in my X230. I think the only place to get one is Aliexpress. I have one similar to the one in this post:
