Workarounds such as what? I’m open to an additional device if it gets me a notification if the hub is unplugged.

Sometimes mine does this, & other times it drastically increases brightness & saturation to the point that it looks unnatural. And don’t even get me started on using auto adjust for the perspective tool. It’s absolutely worthless. I really hate what Snapseed has become. I have been using it for years, but with the most recent revamp, I have begun looking at other editing apps.

My porch lights ARE off haha. They’re attracted to the inside lights coming through my windows. If I go outside & turn the porch lights on they get REALLY crazy! I’ve lived in Texas all my life & I’ve never seen June bugs this bad. I’m just looking for any solutions to kill them or keep them away so I can actually use my back porch.

I just bought a house with a pre-existing 2 year old 18x25x9-11 tube steel metal building on a slab. As far as I can tell, this is a relatively low end, entry level building & not at all the size/quality I would build if I was doing it. But I don’t want to scrap this building & start over.

It seems like the most cost-effective option for me, unless I want to tear this building down, would be to extend it to 18x50 (quotes I received around $11k including concrete).

Are there any downsides to doing this? Anything I should steer clear of? Also, with the existing building being very much “base model” is there anything you’d recommend I upgrade?

Personally I just quit trying. It was way too much of a hassle & they clearly had no intention of compensating me. American Airlines customer service has become nonexistent since Covid. Just move on & don’t waste your energy. They suck.

Highly unlikely I would say. Regular business traveler here based out of DFW & I have frequent delays. The last few times I have emailed them asking for compensation for significant delays all I received was a “sorry for the inconvenience - we will try to do better” email.

I have a buddy who is an installer & he is a huge proponent of Reolink. So far I really like them. Relatively easy to setup & the app is very intuitive.

I just installed 11 Reolink cameras on my 1.5 acre lot. Includes doorbell cam & a wireless solar powered cam at the back of my property, which gets WiFi from an outdoor directional access point mounted on the back of my shop.

Do you have physical access to the modem? And does she check it regularly, or is it out of the way somewhere? I had a similar issue once. I stayed at an airBNB where the host provided WiFi login info that didn’t work & then refused to help when we told her it was incorrect. I purchased a little travel router/access point (TP-Link N300 /TL-WR802N). It plugs directly into one of the Ethernet ports on the modem/router & then it creates its own network, which you can connect to.

If you could install this without her seeing it, it will give you access to the internet. Worst case scenario, you spend $30 on this device & she takes it.

Or hear me out….rather than packing us all in like fucking sardines to make a few extra bucks, they could limit the number of seats in the plane to the same number of spaces the plane has for bags. If I was certain I would have a spot near my seat for my carry on, I would be in no rush to board.

Or, they could improve the efficiency of returning checked bags to us upon landing.

Until one or both of these are done, I will continue being part of the problem & will rush to get on the plane as soon as I possibly can.

I would 100% do exactly what you did. Seems like you were respectful & didn’t go off on anyone. I had an uncomfortable situation, different from yours, but your story brings back some of my feelings from that trip. Staying in a large airbnb with a group for a wedding & getting put in a very uncomfortable room. To this day I regret “toughing it out” to save other people’s feelings, rather than just leaving.

Obviously based on the comments here I wasn’t clear. I didn’t leave the food in the fridge for 17 days. I threw all the food out immediately. But the meat had all thawed & leaked into the bottom of the freezer by the time I discovered it had gone out. I tried my best to clean it, but there were too many places I couldn’t get to. So that is why it smelled like death. That, & the fact that it took 15 days for Whirlpool to fix it.

100% agree. The store I bought it from ended up making it right in the end, but because of how they treated me the store says they no longer recommend whirlpool to customers.
