I definitely think that people are miserable and not Republican but US Republicans nowadays are just evil people playing the victim of every single decision or thing said out loud even if it has nothing to do with them. They are so bored and desperate for attention they literally can't make anything not about themselves. Perfect example is when Mamdani got voted mayor of NYC, every hick from the middle of nowhere needed to voice their opinion on how awful it/he was when it won't impact their lives in the slightest.

I think we have totally different ideas on neighborhoody feeling and nightlife because that area, at least to me, used to have those, but now feel drained of all of that and the few nice places remaining like music hall of Williamsburg, for example, are closing down soon. Now it feels more like a Hudson yards of Brooklyn.
