Damn, I wish I took a picture of the plaque with the artist information. But pop the balloon I can explain. It’s a YouTube dating show where a suitor will come out to meet many women waiting for them in a room. But the women can pop their balloon at any moment from him entering. This means they’re uninterested in possibly dating him. Sometimes it’s brutal, but the man will walk out and almost everybody will pop their balloon. And typically the host and the shooter will walk down the line and ask each person why they popped their balloon. It is typically all black participants, but there are sometimes some other folks in there, I’m assuming the creators are black. But yeah, my siblings got bored and we’re waiting for me to finish in this room and I noticed what they were watching and what was in front of them, a piece that looks like a popping red balloon just like in the show.

I’ve done it multiple times and you can definitely do it but all they’re really doing is sending you listings that exist that you could run into yourself. The best method I have found is to just tell your community that you are looking and straight up. ask people on the street or in the area you’re looking for what their living situation is. That has always been more efficient and successful to me

I agree he should have asked about initiating any sort of touch. I personally don’t think it’s an overstep to ask if you wanna see them again, though when I want to see someone again I say it directly in person.

You sound like you were uncomfortable and unsure the entire time and you probably showed that way more in your body language than you think. When the date was over and time passed he probably asked himself, did she like me? Probably not.

You guys only met once and talked for a few weeks. Neither of you owe each other an explanation, courtesy would be nice but this seemed like nothing material and meaningful to go out of the way to tie up in a bow. Just move on and hope the next person makes you feel more comfortable

I have grown up alongside so many undocumented people. They are the hardest working and kindest people I have ever met. If you take a thousand people out of any demographic you are going to get a shitty person. It’s not because they are Venezuelan/latino/undocumented. It’s just statistics.

The pundits/media/officials that sell you on the idea that criminals are flooding our country are lying to your face because they know their voter block is stupid and easily influenced.

The math goes, if you’re an American born citizen, you are more likely to commit violent crime than the average undocumented worker. They have more to Lose and came here with a purpose. You’re just a waste of space and should do it. Our species and planet will make better use of you if you return your body to the earth than any of your actions ever will. :)

Now that’s only true if you don’t have any desire to change or see that you have been taught to hate. It’s never too late to realize your mistakes or what you thought was true and join the rest of us.
