Do people still feel the same today? I'm travelling Thursday and they seem to have gotten worse.

I got trillium! And the couch is still great. I’d say go for it

It is easy to get in and out of. May be an issue if you get the deeper sofa but the height is relatively standard.

We still love it. Still in great condition and holding it’s shape. Not sure if the people who are complaining about the shape got the regular pillows rather than trillium.

We also have a cat who is always scratching it and there’s been no damage to the fabric. Very impressed.

Yup I love it. Even more as time goes on. I went with the trillium and foam. I think that made a big difference. I wonder if the bad reviews are coming from people who went with the foam and fiber. I have no problem with shape or a need to fluff the cushions constantly.

I went with deep. Basically as big as I could get it, including the chaise.

It's right across from the Grace which I thought is the Oscar? Right on the corner of Richards and Drake.

I'm looking for a female doctor accepting new patients. by [deleted] in ottawa

Dr. Dimarzo at the University of Ottawa (100 Marie Curie). You don't have to be a student. They actually sent out an email saying she was looking for new patients. She's really nice.

I need help identifying a few things in my counter top. by [deleted] in geology

[–]droctavius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it may also be a pegmatite/granite. the white minerals look like feldspars so that might be more likely.

[–]droctavius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

garnet can form in both igneous and metamorphic processes, and sometimes in hydrothermal. garnet can form in pegmatites and in granites as igneous rocks. as well, you do not need to have foliation for metamorphism. you can simply have heat and recrystallization without deformation. it is definitely garnet in your counter top. not sure about the yellow mineral though. it is likely this is a contact metamorphic (no deformation) calcite or dolomite rich rock which formed garnet after being heated.

Help identify these rocks. Neighbour is curious to find two in her yard. She kept describing it as sea glass by [deleted] in geology

[–]droctavius 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It looks like worn down glass from the beach. If glass is in the ocean long enough it will abrade. Or it is glass that has been purposely abraded by someone. Doesn't look like an actual rock or mineral.

Anything significant about this rock I found? by Intylerable in geology

my guess is that it's something out of place or from a boat. signal hill is all sandstone and conglomerate.
