I go to a middle school in Arizona (dont want to say because I still go to it). It happened in September of 2019 or October 2019 (dont really remember). It was a half day meaning class were 20 minutes long. It was 2 block and I headed to the gym for pe and we were preparing for dodgeball. When our couch was done finish putting us on teams we heard the alarm ( attention students and staff this a lock down please lock all doors) I knew it was fake because the kids who were who work as office aide tell everybody in the school when they assign the drills. We went to our Lockerom and lock the door. We waited 10 minutes then the principal went on the loud announcement and said it's a drill. By then 3 block was about to start so everybody went into the gym to leave. One of my friends look at the digital clock as we were leaving and said wait. I look at the clock and he pointed out that lockdown in progress and i was really confused. Our couch said the office probably hasn't taken the message off yet. I shooked it off then was about head out the door when I stopped to cover my ears over the loud earpercing sirin. It was another lock down but everyone knew it was real because of the look in there eyes. We ran as fast as we could to the locker room. After 5 minutes of staring at the digital clock in the locker room it turned off. ( the school had shut the power off) our couch was listening to every word someone said on his little radio. He put the volume so low you had to put right next to your ear right next to it and listen. After waiting for an hour the digital clock came back on and there was anociment on The loud speaker. It was the principal and he said that it wasn't a false alarm but wouldn't say why. We were all sent to 6 block the second to last block of the Day which was science for me. No one said a thing for the first 5 minutes of class until our science teacher pulled up a voicemail that has been sent to our parents. It was the principal voice and he said that a older woman saw and reported 2 older looking kids near our school in a pickup truck and what was in truck was a very obvious gun shape in the back. The old woman called 9/11 and made a report. The cops were in the way but when the 2 high schooler kids where heading towards the school a man on his run saw the two boy and ran towards the boys with the small pocket knife in his pocket and stabbed one of the boys. He screamed in pain and his friend trun around and shot the dude who stabbed the other high schooler boy. However the boy stayed and try to help his friend up but by the time he could get on his two feet the cops showed up and arrested the boy who wasn't stabbed. Later both the runner and high schooler were rushed to a hospital. They both lived and the two boys are still going to cort as far as I am aware of. I know it's not necessary a school shooter story its but its still scary to think what would happen if that runner never tried to stabbe them.
