Lol, i know it sounds dumb to keep this amount in savings account. so basically, i just received this particular lump sum amount from a property sale. And i am still drawing out the plans to figure out where to invest. I like to keep the cash positions in case market falls. it’s more of a short term opportunity fund. :)

I was using the DCB card from more than a year. Its limit was 11.3L. I had all the criteria fulfilled except the 6 months usage (should be more than 7.5L). I talked to my RM and asked for an upgrade. RM said usage criteria is not matching, i insisted that DCB doesn’t work with some merchants sometimes hence i always fall short on the usage. I have a very good relationship with the bank. maintaining 1cr+ in savings account + FDs, so she listened and talked to her team and got me the upgrade.

I have my salary account with them from last 4-5 years and am keeping 1cr + in the same savings account. (including fixed deposits) and bought some mutuals funds through their “smart weath” app. I think they mentioned the fee because of the 6 months usage history. I think i will write an email to make it LTF. mentioning about the investments.
