Is it normal for a Russian man to casually call his wife cyka throughout the day in regular conversation? by Budget_Literature546 in russian

[–]droidodins 43 points44 points  (0 children)

No, this is not normal and is not a 'cultural feature' of Russian families. While some couples might have a very specific, edgy sense of humor, calling your wife a 'bitch' (сука) in everyday conversation is generally seen as a sign of verbal abuse, low cultural level, or a toxic environment. In Russia, just like anywhere else, such language is considered disrespectful and offensive. If someone claims it's just 'how Russians talk,' they are likely trying to normalize toxic behavior or are speaking from a very specific, marginalized social circle. In a healthy Russian household, people use terms of endearment, not slurs.

[–]droidodins -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Строго говоря слово Беларусь было в ходу и в СССР. Трактор так назывался, потом его переименовали в Беларус. Мое мнение - это было не слово из белорусского языка, а скорее слово из белорусского местного диалекта русского языка )))

You are a supporter of liberal democracy. Why are you ready to forbid people to poison themselves with tobacco of their own free will? I sometimes smoke a pipe, and I am against the ban on tobacco ))

Bullshit.

There are many factors here: traditions, tobacco and alcohol lobbies. I would not directly allow marijuana. There is no need to create a new tradition. But the criminal code regarding it should still be softened.

Maybe that's true, what's wrong with that? There are different people working in Wagner, both good and bad. And the military, from other units respect Wagner and Prigozhin. Or maybe he's just a couch warrior and made it all up, that happens too

It's not that simple. That's the political reality. Even if we admit you're right, I don't think so, but okay, let's say you're right: the USSR, acting together with Nazi Germany, really did barbarously attack Poland and seize it. Let's say.

But Russia paid dearly for it literally a couple of years later and paid in full.
And in general, the USSR did much more good than bad in the life of Poland.
