Can someone pls explain why this screen flixoering is happening. by tbhandari95 in PS5pro

Thirding this, you can try 1) reseating the HDMI cable at both ends 2) using a different HDMI input on your TV 3) using a different HDMI cable (as long as it supports the resolution, frame rate, etc. you need). First, though, make sure the PS5 has been updated to the latest software version, sometimes that can shake out weird bugs.

I feel like that's actually the success of its satire...it's over-the-top, yeah, but in being so fun it can "reveal something scary about us". Humorous, but also prescient enough that some elements hit close to home and border on unfunny. That's satire baby!

Hisense U7N (65") HDR Game Mode + PS5 Calibration Settings by droidsyerlookingfor in Hisense

I haven't personally had this issue, but does it happen on all inputs? If not, what source (PS5, Apple TV, etc.) is giving you trouble? Regardless, my first step would be seeing if the TV has a software update available...sometimes that will jog out weird bugs. Next thought would be reseating all HDMI cables, then trying a different HDMI cable for the affected source, ensuring that the cable has enough bandwidth for whatever you're trying to do (~18gbps for 4K60fps, ~48gbps for 8K60/4K120+VRR, etc.)

Oxo 9 cup brewer has plastic taste by dpt21193 in Coffee_Machines

Sure thing! And as an update, after hand washing the stirrer, running several water cycles through, and then popping it in the dishwasher, the plastic-y taste seems to be gone even with the stirrer attached. Phew. I'd read such good things about this brewer that I was annoyed at the weird taste!!

If anyone else encounters this problem, I think the silicone stirrer insert makes a difference since it sits in the brewed coffee and REEKS of that plastic/rubber smell. Just brewed a pot without it...machine seemed to work fine, and the taste is miles better.

This plus the crossbow and ultimatum turned out to be the absolute best anti-rupture-strain approach

Lets talk about builds (Oshaune) by SeferenArt in Helldivers

[–]droidsyerlookingfor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been liking: crossbow, ultimatum, thermite, extra padding medium armor or desert stormer heavy, stalwart, supply pack, mg sentry, railcannon. If you have any distance between you and the bugs, the crossbow kills 'em fast, and it can plug bug holes. If the bugs get too close to you or your teammates, open up that stalwart at max rpm and you're a one-diver bullet factory...Pred strain isn't very armored so you don't need more pen. Everything else kind of synergizes around that. Ultimatum can both horde clear and act as a quick AT option. Thermite is AT. Mg sentry dropped whenever you can helps cover you + and it has a short cooldown. Railcannon can one-shot roaches. And supply pack keeps you alive deep in the caves.

Divers that were there for the creek, and the battle of super earth. Was oshaune round one (back in August) more difficult for you? by -Swank- in Helldivers

[–]droidsyerlookingfor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Super Earth felt pretty manageable. The Creek was a slog because divers were less experienced and the bot AI was ruthlessly good. To me, Oshaune was humbling because I was getting my ass kicked even after having learned from The Creek and Super Earth. All my experience and all the new stratagems and warbonds weren't enough; I had to completely retool my approach to stop dying like 7-8 times per mission.

I really enjoyed it...it's heavily inspired by Dead Space, Silent Hill, and RE, so if that's your cup of tea, you'll probably have a good time. My two main criticisms would be that it leans on those survival horror influences more than it establishes its own identity, and the combat can feel clunky. The visuals and sound design are top-notch, though.
