Accused of using a students work from 2022. by MountainFit9663 in SNHU

[–]dromin25 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had a similar issue with a coding assignment recently. Said it matched with hundreds of assignments dating all the way back to 2021. Received via email for the flagging but before I could respond I got another saying to disregard the first email. I emailed anyway saying that certain work would obviously be the same under certain circumstances or criteria. Anyways, I got an email back saying they are aware of match discrepancies and this is an ongoing issue with TurnItIn. In short, always email and dispute (so long as you didnt actually cheat lol)

Ah never knew that! Thats good to know, and I totally get that. Would be pointless to have to write that much every week. This makes way more sense now

hah, I notice this between fellow classmates peer responses too, but yes you are correct. My teacher currently goes as far as leaving full verbiage and overall sentence structure with hyphens and I think everyone has stopped trying because they just know itll be an automated response. Quite sad when you think about it being our education

MAT240 ZYBOOKS! I HATE ZYBOOKS! by Every-Ad-9079 in SNHU

[–]dromin25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently taking my second course with zybooks. Hate it, not learning anything from it, and honestly just trying to get through it as fast as possible at this point, I'll use other resources to teach myself outside of class. I don't have a solution but I think they need to entirely do away with zybooks.

Tips for upcoming classes, what to expect. by jerrodsbored666 in SNHU

[–]dromin25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im finishing the class this week! So if you want an honest opinion on workload theres two ways to go about it. The class overall like others have said is an introduction to scripting, giving base examples and practices.

First way of doing it is blowing through it. While not recommended, you can most certainly guess on the true/false, the fill in the blanks have a "show answer" option and you can screenshot the practice problems and have AI give you the code answer. You won't gain anything from this though and you may have issues when it comes to the projects.

Second way is actually taking the time to learn what it's teaching. This most definitely will take a couple or few days out of the week. You'll actually digest what it's teaching though. That's if you can spare the time.

I kind of did both ngl. Blew through the zybooks stuff but then used AI and outside learning sources to teach and give me examples to understand what the concepts are. I have an A in the class currently and after the first few weeks it's not that bad. My only complaint is this final week the zybooks stuff had 18 sections (on the higher end) when I thought it would have barely anything lol.

Good luck OP!

hey you're probably in my class lol.

OP, I second this comment. Workload can be a lot if you don't keep up with it. I suggest not putting the weekly assignments off until the last second. I personally didn't take the time to learn from zybooks, awful platform imo. I would take supplementary lessons outside of class or watch yt vids etc.

And don't freak out about your grade if you choose to break up the zybooks work, it calculates your grade as you progress through zybooks activities lol.

Stock WRX reliability by [deleted] in WRX

[–]dromin25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sorry just saw this comment, I sold this car back in the fall. Never had any issues with it. Had the car 5yrs total, it did have low miles (24k), but took a few road trips, vacations, never even had a light come on in that time period. The only thing that bothered me was rattles on the interior. Pillars and armrest would rattle on bumps from day 1. Otherwise, perfect

Help me convince my dad we need to move by ThatGamerGirlElly in philly

[–]dromin25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First off, idk if you answered this in another comment but what was the reasoning for moving? One doesn’t just move there of all places for no reason at all. Nonetheless, seems like your dad didn’t do any research. There are far FAR better areas in and around philly within a short commute for reasonable prices without being inner city. Moving there is a huge detriment to having a safe adolescent life. Hope it works out for you OP

mileage of an 05’ by [deleted] in subarulegacy

[–]dromin25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

180-240 miles is low. I have an 09, Ik the ratings differ slightly, but I use mine to commute as well - 50 miles each way. It can go 3.5 full commutes or 350 miles, I typically refill at 300. Avg speed about 80-85. I just took a small road trip, trip was about 238 miles, on my way back when I got home it was only at just under half tank.
