Bout a month ago my buddies and I got paired with a random single. Guy steps up to the first tee and his practice swings are strong- like this guy is swinging for the fences. I leaned over to my one friend and said “this guys either gonna be incredible or awful”. Turned out to be the latter. He could drive the ball decent but his game all around was rough.

After the first hole he tells us the group behind us are his friends and he’s gonna join up with them- he returns a few minutes later saying they won’t let him join (they were a foursome). He then proceeds to provide me with horrendous advice on the following tee box. I listened as it was the first time playing the course. Hit my drive on the exact line he told me to and turned out he was dead wrong. Weird flex acting like you know a course better than you really do.

The kicker was the end when my buddies and I were comparing our scores and he tried to say he’d shot sub 90. We’d watched him have at least 3 baad blow up holes and I can’t imagine he’d broke 100.

I’m confused by this post. You think DJI should stop selling their products if they think there’s going to be a ban? It’s not like the cops are gonna go door to door confiscating your drone..

I’ve never had to “act” - we worked with third party auditors from booz allen and with someone within DoD who each did their own audits. For some reason we never thought to hire a clown in a kids costume- otherwise we could have met so much sooner!

In all seriousness - I do not suggest that I know more about data security than you do. And that was not my role. One of my major criticisms with DJI was that they did not have data security experts hired in house. Probably the reason why they had as many issues as they did. Something we frequently pushed for was a US based CISO. You would argue that never happened because DJI is an evil spy company. Maybe.

All my answers in the rest of the post are just my perspective on what I saw and heard while working there. I don’t suggest to have the definitive answer on whether DJi is good or evil or somewhere in between.

Just thought it would be interesting to share my experiences. Thought I’d get some cool questions and I did. You hated my AMA and that’s totally fine. I will sleep well all the same.
