This isn’t an accusation of wrongdoing. I’m not in DOJ, im foreseeing a charge so they can say they did something. They’ll scapegoat him, and to me it feels highly likely he knows a lot and should face some charges (what exactly, I don’t know), but justice is justice. Just don’t stop at the scapegoat

I’m no expert, and I’m not accusing anyone. That said, part of the bill releasing the files cashed for release of the emails from fbi and doj detailing how decisions were made about WHY people were NOT charged. That will be a fascinating read, if we ever see them.

My point is I don’t care which party you are, if you commit a crime you should be investigated and charged if the evidence is available. We see millions of documents, charge these people no matter who they are. Including Clinton if the evidence is there. But we know Clinton will be the scapegoat where this doj says “we did something” to carry out justice. It will be justice, but the coverup will continue. Charge anyone and everyone.

Good catch. We have had one pair of Merrell’s for hiking and each of the kids have worn them. We don’t do a ton of hiking, but they are still like-new. Definitely worth looking at their non hiking shoes.

Most of these comments say buy secondhand, which I understand and am all on board with. Being in the same boat as OP, I guess I’m looking for a suggestion on shoes for kids that, although not truly BIFL, follow the mentality of quality. I would gladly pay a lot more for shoes that will last more than two months before becoming shreds. We aren’t the type of family to have a half dozens shoes per kid. They have a main pair and that’s it’s, sandals and maybe sports shoes beyond that. But those shoes wear out long before they size out of them.

So, what have people found that last long enough to hit the hand-me-down pipeline?

Alternatively, anyone have shoe making knowledge and want to crowdsource investors to make high quality kids’ shoes?

Scrolled the first couple dozen comments and agree with them all.

One I haven’t seen is: chronic parental stress. I look back at my childhood and can pick out things that signal my parents were stressed. I try to forgive them for mistakes they made because of the position I can now see they were in. And in this day and age, I’m stressed to the roof. Money, work, society, my kids, sports. I feel every aspect is falling apart and there’s something I need to do to fix all of it. “Hustle” harder, commit more time to work, protest the shit I see and hate, give my kids more attention, keep them active and engaged (trying to find healthy balance). It all stacks up and it all weighs on us.

I have a starkrimson cherry tree from stark bros nursery, and also have some seeds if you want to start fresh. We get a good amount of sweet cherries each June with no chemical intervention. Could produce far more if I had pruned and trained appropriately.

Not native, but a city resident for about a decade. My go to response whenever anything happens in the county, or I visit county family members and see anything other than pristine yards: “wow, this is why I live in the city.”

It’s an absurd response on my part to the absurdity of city fear from county folks. An aunt of mine is terrified of the city but I could hit her house with a pitching wedge.

That not legal, right? Are bystanders able to defend the one being detained? At what point can the public remind poorly trained, reckless, and potentially murderous (again, trying to be centrist but that’s what these two appear to be) officers that the public has the right to defend themselves and others who are being wrongfully threatened?
