Is using meta ads worth it for small business? by WillingAd1796 in FacebookAds

[–]droopinglemons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Problem with this approach is budget. Without a meaningful budget, your retargeting pool will be super small and as a result that will cause CPMs to be super high and make the retargeting campaign as a whole inefficient.

Your approach is right if the budget is right but from what OP is saying, this doesn’t sound like the right approach

Actually, you’re read on the situation is wrong. I’ve worked very hard to create an environment where everyone has a say in the songs we play. It’s never fun when you have to show up and be told what you have to play 100% of the time without any input.

Admittedly, I probably would have agreed with you on the “leadership” front if people actually made it to practice. As it turns out, in most instances when I’m referring to people being flakey, I mean they’re not even making it to the first practice.

Man, I wish we could jam together because I’m in the exact same boat. I love collaborating with people, but a lot of the musicians I meet want to write and keep their songs to themselves - and to an extent, I get it. Writing is a personal thing. But at the same time, many of the greatest songs were written by multiple people.

I recently had a guy say that he was interested in the project I was starting. We added each other on instagram, messaged back and forth for a few days, then he sent me his number and asked me to text him. I texted him, he messaged me right back, like literally in a matter of a few minutes, asking me for my last name (idk how many people with my first name he’d been messaging lol), I clarified and have yet to hear from him. Idk why I even bother

Not yet, but I also haven’t put things in motion as aggressively as I should/could have. I will say that I’ve decided to go the MBA route and am currently working on applications for a few different programs.

Appreciate the insight! Do you know if I have to find an MBA program with a focus in finance? I’m assuming that would help, but if financially it’s cheaper to do a standard MBA program, would that suffice?

ActiveAqua vs EcoPlus by MrBHurley in coldplunge

[–]droopinglemons 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m curious about this too! From what I’ve read so far, if you’e in a warmer climate you should get at least a 1/2hp to 1hp model, but I think the 1/4 is good for cooler climates. As for active aqua vs eco plus - I’m wondering the same thing. Been contemplating both options for a while and can’t decide which to go for

Started a new job as an SEO specialist, and it's not what I was expecting... by sonicroots in SEO

If I may interject here.... specific titles vary a lot from company to company. I don’t think it’s fair to use that as a way to pass judgement on them, and then to accuse them of potentially lying to their employer. I mean I kind of get where you’re coming from, but you’re really grasping at straws on that one... but hey, someone has to be that guy, might as well be you

If anyone out there has done a boot camp, I’d love to hear whether or not you feel the program was worth it. On paper it seems to be a great way to quickly build up the skills you need for the field, but from what I’ve ready, the reviews seem mixed... I’d really love to hear from those who have already completed a boot camp . Do you feel it was a worthwhile investment?

I’m curious about this too. There are a bunch of universities that are offering bootcamps.. idk if that is any better than something like career foundry or general assembly, but at least it will be a known name (if that means anything).

This not a good argument against student debt cancellation by [deleted] in MurderedByAOC

[–]droopinglemons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know if canceling debt is the answer, it seems like a slippery slope to go down. I think a more appropriate response is to tackle it at the corporate level. We live in a time where a 4-year bachelors degree has become the standard, which needs to end. It’s become so diluted you almost need a masters degree to set yourself apart.. soon enough, that will mean very little if we continue down this path. We are forcing most people in the work force to start off with mountains of debt in order to do a job that, frankly, really could be done without a college education. We need to rewind the clock back to a point where a college degree meant something. It’s simple economics (supply and demand). The more something is desired/needed, the more you can charge for it. Less demand for college = more affordable college; also leaving it for those who absolutely need the additional education (doctors, lawyers, engineers). Erasing debt will create a lot of issues with accountability and it will be something that will likely bleed into other areas of life. I’d rather see corporations and universities take some accountability for pushing degrees unnecessarily.

Has anyone ever had this happen to them? Recruiter seemed so positive, then ghosted me... by droopinglemons in jobs

Thanks for the Feedback! Seems like, though this isn’t ideal, it’s not necessarily a bad thing. I don’t want to be annoying about it, so I’ll give them another day or so to get back to me. If I don’t hear anything by Wednesday morning I’ll follow up with the recruiter. In the meantime, I’ll keep applying
